Prime Pick: A Sports Prediction Market: this shared clickable link was our most recent Prime Pick post. It showcases an up and coming sports prediction market named (You guessed it) Prime Pick. The prediction market will be hosted on the Genesis League Sports platform, powered by The Invennium Corporation; a 100% subsidiary of @splinterlands. Some of you will be familiar with the GLS platform while some others might not be. The short version: Genesis League Sports is a subsidiary of Splinterlands that hosts sports games and sports apps. Prime Pick will be the second ever app featured on the GLS platform. The first featured game is a soccer (football?) game named Genesis League Goals. Prime Pick like all games that will be hosted on the GLS platform will be governed by the token named GLX. The more GLX a participant has staked the more influence they have within the GLS platform and within the apps located on the GLS platform. Influences such as deciding on what apps get to share in the GLX Rewards Pool. For example not that long ago there was a vote among GLX token stakers to green-light or decline Prime Picks requests for 50M GLX tokens (for 5 years) from the GLS DAO (@gls.dao) to support Prime Picks in-game rewards. Stake holders of GLX all voted and the results spoke for themselves. Prime Pick got the green-light with 26,151,135+ weighted votes in favor of approval. This is the type of influence you will have by holding and staking GLX. You the stakeholder of the token will be a direct decision maker.
The GLX token is tradable on the local Hive Blockchain apps such as TribalDex (powered by Hive-Engine). There is a live market on TribalDex where you can set Buy and Sell orders for GLX. There are also SWAPS that can be done on the TribalDex app between GLX and four other tokens. SWAPS will allow you to instantly trade the GLX token. Those four markets include SPS (Splinterlands governance token), SWAP.HIVE (Pair token that is 1:1 with Hive), COLONY (Arcade Colony governance token), and GLUSD (GLS Token). It will be interesting to see how popular Prime Pick becomes. Sports prediction has a long standing popularity among Sports enthusiasts. There are many WEB2 applications that offer such an activity but not many WEB3 applications that do the same. Soon here on the Hive Blockchain we will have our very first Sports Prediction market. Let that sink in for a second. The very first and you have a chance to be part of it all. I'm not sure about yous but @rentmoney is excited to see the outcome of this. I know for certain this is one guy that will happily place some predictions.

This really looks interesting! Platforms like this provide great opportunities for the community, and having a say in decisions through the GLX token is a really good idea.
