Stacking HIVE (Lets Do This)
Less then a handful of days ago I blogged about trading my available HBD for HIVE. Today I made another step with increasing my liquid HIVE Tokens. At current time (09/04/2023) 1000 DEC is trading for $0.00076 USD. Fiat wise its not a great move to be selling DEC for USD as Splinterlands accept DEC at a rate of $1 USD per 1000 DEC. However if we take a look at how much HIVE one can earn by selling DEC it amounts to 0.00281 HIVE per DEC sold. 0.00281 is a price I'm happy to receive so its to the Hive-Engine/ LeoDex market I go.

Oops before I can go to the market I first need to transfer my DEC out of my Splinterlands in game wallet (Done). Looks like I have about 229,003 DEC. Lets see how much HIVE that will gross me. Looking at the sell orders I can see 0.002819 is the offer. That would gross me 645.5. Looking at the buy orders I can see 0.002811 is the current bid which will gross me 643.8. For the sake of 1.7 HIVE I won't bother setting a sell order instead I will just sell directly to the buy orders. And here we go lets get stacking those HIVE Tokens.

DEC is short for Dark Energy Crystals and is the in game currency for the HIVE Blockchain (Play2Earn) game known as Splinterlands.

At this time as we all know that due to the market the prices are very low so at that time we should not sell anything inside the market and wait for good time when the prices of the same items are very high.
THat isa big amount of DEC you sold my friend. I hardly play splinterland anymore. Since I played way too late, and have a few cards only. !LOLZ

I think it is a good decision, Hive's potential is greater than DEC's.
I think so as well.
I'm going the other way. Stacking DEC for the upcoming land 1.5 in Splinterlands. Up to 80k. No deep trading strategy here. I just play SPlinterlands and they lead me around by my nose. First it was buy SPS to stake, now its buy DEC for land staking. Their latest move has not supported DEC prices.
