I think the explanation behind that @renovatio is the speed of the monster's opponent. Base on the battle, Demonshark has 5 speed and your monster's speed ranges only from 1 to 2 speed. To determine the evading probability of the monster, you just need the difference between the speed, of the two monsters that are fighting. So in your battle, by subtracting your monster's speed to the speed of Demonshark, there is 30% to 40% chance of you missing the attack. Since Demonshark has higher speed compared to your monsters, Demonshark will have 30% to 40% chance of evading your attack while your monsters do not have any chance of evading the attack due to its low speed. I think that this the reason why you always miss on that battle and why your opponent did not miss any attack.
