RENTING TIPS (MUST READ!!)

Hello, SPLINTER COMMUNITY!

Today, I just want to share to everyone the things I learned in my first card rented out. On my last post (here) I mentioned that I rented out the Legendary Card, CALADUUM.

This card can do damage of three magic attacks, has one speed, three shields, and ten lives. Also, it has an ability called Void, meaning, it can reduce the damage of magic attacks.

Just by reading all the characteristics of this Legendary Card, it sounds so tempting because it can definitely lead your team to victory. And that is the reason why I rented it immediately.

When I rented this card, I am happy because I win and win and win. But by looking at the DEC I earned, it is small. It is small because I am just in Bronze II and my Energy Capture Rate is so low. After my rental expired I realize a lot of things:

• First: WAIT FOR YOUR ENERGY CAPTURE RATE TO REACH AT LEAST 90% BEFORE RENTING. This suggestion must be done if you want to gain more DEC than the price of your rented card. The lower your capture rate is, the lower the DEC you can gain. Also, there are other factors that can influence DEC rewards per win like the winning streak.

• Second: CHECK ALL SUGGESTED MARKETS IN SPLINTERLANDS. Everyone must do this because there are more lower prices on other websites suggested by Splinterlands. Also, compare the prices each level. That can help you save more DEC.

• THIRD: MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN EARN BACK THE DEC YOU USED USING THAT CARD. I highly suggest this. Think first if you can regain the price of the rented card in a specific timeframe. This must be done to avoid the lost of your DEC and have a consistent income.

Unfortunately, to me, I did not follow those three. I just realize them after my rental card expired. Well, its fine. Its just my first rental and I am going to apply it next time.
