SHARE YOUR BATTLE: TIME MAGE, THE LIGHT BRINGER

Hello, Splinterlands Community !

As the battle in Splinterlands continue, a new meta is being discover. For this week, its time for Time Mage to took the spotlight. Time Mage is a Rare Life Monster with Slow ability. Its ability limits the other monsters on the field and that ability is what makes this card a new meta. But what if its ability is taken or reverses by other card? Will this monster can still do great in the field?

So without further ado, lets battle it out!

TIME MAGE	SLOW (LEVEL 1), RUST (LEVEL 5)	1 MAGIC ATTACK, 4 SPEED, 3 LIVES (LEVEL 1)

TIME MAGE has the ability to Slow down the enemies. It can reduce their speed by 1 and that could change the whole game. This monster has also 1 magic attack, 4 speed, and 3 lives. By lookin at the overall characteristic of this monster, we can say that it can really defeat the enemies. Slowing down the monsters changes the order of attacks in the battle and lowering the speed also means lowering the evading chance of the monster. By doing that, it gives my monsters to create more damage that the usual. Aside from its ability, its kind of attack is also commendable. As we all know, magic attacks never miss and only an ability can resist it. In terms of its speed, 4 speed can really avoid lots of attacks.

As this monster continue to grow, it power also levels up.

This monster gains new ability as it reaches level 5: The Rust ability. Monsters with Rust ability reduces the shield of the opponent's monsters by 2. That is a big help for the team, especially to the melee and range attackers because it gives them more opportunity to take damage directly on the life of the opponent's monsters. Aside from the new ability, this monster also gain increase in stats. On level 5, this monster has 2 magic attacks, 5 speed, and 3 lives.

STRATEGY: Reduce the attacks of the opponent's monster and eliminates the weakest monsters in the game with powerful attacks.

THE CARDS

SUMMONER	1ST POSITION	2ND POSITION	3RD POSITION

SUMMONER: The existence of Mother Khala as the summoner in the game is very useful because there are monster that needs increase in life. For Time Mage, an increase to the life gives it more power to survive the game.
1ST POSITION: The Chaos Knight is the perfect tank to accomplish my strategy. Its existence in the game will reduce the attacks of the opponent's monsters. Also, it will help the Time Mage to live longer in the battle.
2ND POSITION: Elimination of the weakest monster in terms of health also means the elimination of the monsters with strong attacks. To accomplish that, I decided to include in the battle the monster, CAVE SLUG. This monster will help Time Mage to avoid the attacks of powerful monsters.
3RD POSITION: Speed is everything in the game. Controlling the speed means you control the game. To do that, I decided to use TIME MAGE. This monster has the ability to slow down enemies and that reduces their evading chance. Also, this monster is a magic attacker, which only means that no one can block its attack, unless there is a Void ability.

ROUND 1: LET THE STRONGEST SURVIVE

At the beginning of the battle, Mother Khala gives all of my monsters an extra life and the ability of Time Mage reduces the speed of all the opponent's monsters. Unluckily, the opponent has the same card. With that, my monsters also get deduction in speed.

As the battle continue, everyone starts to attack, they all try todo damages but at the end, no one got eliminated. Time Mage attacks the First position monster of the opponent, creating a damage towards it.

ROUND 2: ITS TIME TO REDUCE THEM

In the second round, both sides continue to exchange attacks. My tank continue to resist all the attacks, except for the attack of the Time Mage of the opponent. My monsters are focus on eliminating the weakest and this time, they succeeded to do that. They eliminate Gargoya.

ROUND 3: DO IT STEP BY STEP

The battle continues in the third round. At this stage, the tank of my opponent cannot handle all the damage, resulting to the elimination of that card early for that round. For Time Mage, it continue to create an unstoppable attack. Its speed is now being used as it avoided the last attack of the round.

ROUND 4: THE MAGIC ELIMINATION

For this round, the battle become intense. The Time Mage of both sides got eliminated. Because of that, the original speed of both sides go back to normal. and it becomes 2 versus 2.

ROUND 5 and 6: THE BRIGHTEST LIGHT

In round 5, both sides exchanges attacks and no one got eliminated. At this round, speed becomes an issue in my monster. Round 6 comes and my monster is so willing to gain back the round that they do not top. They continue to exchange attacks, but it was my opponent that cannot handle the attacks of my monster, making its light dim in the battle. Then success was assured.

I really really love to use Time Mage. Its abilities are so powerful and its kind of attack is unstoppable. Its overall characteristics is a meta quality. If this monster is improved more, it can be very dangerous in the battle.
