Hello, Splinterlands Community !

For this week, another deadly battle will be introduced. The spotlight is given to Death Unit, on monster named Crypt Beetle. Crypt Beetle is a Common Death Monster with Shield ability. This ability helps this monster to lasts longer in the battle. They are "Enormous insects that are found feeding on the corpses within". They are the unstoppable insects of Death Unit and the deadly creatures in Splinterlands.

---THE LORE---

"Any explorers that delve too deeply into the crypts, mausoleums, and necropolises of the world will find a foe they are unprepared for. Not undead, not liches, and not other monsters that can be found in the deep. Instead, tales are told of the crypt beetles. Enormous insects that are found feeding on the corpses within. Most explorers think they are a mere nuisance and will try to scare them away from whatever tomb they are choosing to rob.

But things don't end well for those explorers. These large beetles will defend themselves and their food aggressively. And any explorer that makes it back out alive will have impressive scars to show from the crypt beetle's bite.

Within the darkness of the necropolis, the large crypt beetle scuttled across the stone floor. It made its way through the lines of tombs, searching for its next meal. Retracing steps it often took in the emptiness and silence of the underground.

The crypt beetle stopped at one tomb, reared back on its hind legs, and shoved the lid off. It fell heavily to the floor with an echoing slam.

A small scream of surprise and horror sounded from across the room. The crypt beetle turned. A human stood there, face aghast, staring at the insect. As the beetle fully faced this intruder, the human turned and ran away in fright.

The crypt beetle returned to its meal."

⚔️ THE STRATEGICAL LINE UP ⚔️

SUMMONER	1ST POSITION	2ND POSITION	3RD POSITION

SUMMONER: To make an advantage in the battle, it is a good strategy to reduce the life of the monsters at the beginning of the battle. With that I decided to use Thaddius Brood. This summoner will reduce the life of my opponent's monsters and it will also reduce the magic attacks of my enemies. This summoner is suited for Crypt Beetle since that monster has very low health and in just few magic attacks, it can be wipe out in the battlefield. So to avoid that, it is better to use this kind of summoner.
1ST POSITION: The CRYPT BEETLE has tank quality due to its ability. It has Shield ability and monster with this kind of ability reduces the melee and range attacks of opponent's monsters by half of its attack. This monster can really support all the other monsters that is in the back position.
2ND POSITION: For the second position, we need monster that has ability to create an attack in the back position. In death unit, UNDEAD BADGER is perfect for this. Undead Badger has Sneak ability, allowing it to make attacks starting from the last position. This monster is perfect with Crypt Beetle since Crypt Beetle has low life and surely, the powerful monsters are always place in the last position. So eliminating the last position monster, means eliminating the powerful monsters in the field.
3RD POSITION: It is perfect to place monsters that can protect your other monsters in back position. With that, I decided to use Life Sapper. This monster has Life Leech ability and monster with this kind of ability increases their life every time they make damage to their target monster. This monster is perfect along with Crypt Beetle because this monster can help it survive longer in the field by eliminating monsters with very high shield. Magic attacks cannot be resisted by shields, only a specific ability.

⚔️ THE FIGHT ⚔️

The battle this week is death versus fire. Can the fire unit take away the life of death unit? Or is it the fire will lose its light against death on this deadly battle? Who will win?

ROUND 1: THE POWER OF DARKNESS

The battle started as the two summoners contest their abilities. The fire unit increases their speed while the death unit reduces the life of the fire unit, making more advantage in the battle.

Both sides exchanges their attacks and Undead Badger quickly eliminated in the game. Undead Badger has Sneak ability but its stats is so low, not enough to survive for the whole battle. Even though I got a disadvantage, my monsters are still determined to fight, which resulted to elimination of Kobold Bruiser. The attacks continue but it becomes so hard for other monsters to create damage against Crypt Beetle. At the end of this round, two monsters from both sides left.

ROUND 2: THE WINNING DEADLY ATTACKS

At the start of round 2, Serpentine Spy attacks first and that reduces the life of Crypt Beetle. Life Sapper takes revenge and that causes a deduction of the life of Serpentine Spy. Crypt Beetle is determined to take revenge as well and that urges it to finish the game in just one attack. At the end, darkness wins.

🔎 INSIGHTS FOR CRYPT BEETLE 🔍

Overall, I really like Crypt Beetle. At first, I thought that that monster is not strong, but I am so wrong. That monster can last longer in battle and can definitely lead the team on winning the game. Its ability to reduce the attacks by half is very useful in the game. The only thing that I highly suggest when you are using this monster is to elevate its stats. Using its stats alone will not bring success in the game. So make sure to elevate its stats everytime you use this monster
