Hola querida comunidad de Splinterlands, tras varios meses de ausencia en los concursos de arte ¡He vuelto! Cómo podrán notar en el título, decidí cambiar la forma en como estaba dibujando los fanarts por un estilo chibi, eso sí, siguiendo la línea del último fanart que hice, este tambien es en digital. Aunque aún me falta mejorar algunas técnicas de dibujo quiero que me acompañen por mi camino dentro del arte en digital 😊✨
Hey community! After some months of inactivity ¡I came back! As y'all can see, I decided to change my style of drawing for a chibi style since I find It more funny to do. I have a lot to learn and practice but I want to share with y'all my path inside the digital art 😊✨
📖 Referencia de Personajes /// Character's Reference
Esta semana decidí dibujar a TARSA ya que me parece un personaje llamativo por sus poderes de fuego, de hecho es mi elemento favorito asi que fue un "plus" para que llamara mi atención. Otro motivo por el que escogí dibujarla fue porque me transmitió muchas vibras de Starfire, ese personaje de una de mis caricaturas favoritas de superhéroes que marcó mi infancia: los Jóvenes Titanes.
For this week, I chose to draw Tarsa, It seems a really interesting character to me because of her fire powers, actually fire is my favorite element so I guess that's the main reason of why she caught my attention. Another thing that made me choose Tarsa was that she gave me a lot of "Starfire" Vibes, that DC comic's character, I remember to sit down in front of my TV to watch Teen Titans all the days of the week haha.
🎨 Proceso de Dibujo /// Drawing Process
Cómo primer paso usé la App de Android Ibispaint en mi teléfono, seleccioné la base de la propia librería de recursos de Ibispaint para tener una pose que me agradara, y luego comencé a bocetear cada parte del cuerpo y ropa con un color distinto para no confundir los trazos.
As the first step, I used a base of the library from IbisPaint, so I could potray TARSA in a pose that I would feel comfortable. Then, I started to sketch every part of the body and clothes with a different color so I didn't get confused with all these lines.
Luego con la herramienta gotero comencé a sustraer de la imagen de referencia las tonalidades de colores que usaría para la paleta de colores del dibujo. Luego comencé a dibujar en una capa aparte, con la pluma fuerte en color negro el trabajo de línea.
Then, with the dropper tool, I began to subtract from the reference image the color tones that I would use for the drawing's color palette. Then I started drawing on a separate layer, with the strong pen in black for the line art.
Una vez listo el trabajo de líneas, procedí a aplicar cada capa de color base en cada sección del cuerpo y ropa. En cuanto a los ojos, decidí usar las 3 tonalidades de amarillo de una vez para resaltarlos mas fácilmente cuando aplique el brillo.
Once the lineart was done, I proceeded to apply each layer of base color to each section of the body and clothing. As for the eyes, I decided to use all 3 shades of yellow at once to highlight them more easily when applying the lights.
Seguidamente comencé a aplicar la pluma fuerte con tonalidades de color mas oscuras para marcar las sombras en la piel, cabello y la ropa.
Next I began to apply the strong pen with darker shades of color to mark the shadows on the skin, hair and clothing.
Luego con la misma pluma, usé tonalidades más claras de mi paleta de colores para representar las luces y brillo en todo el dibujo. Para los ojos simplemente dibujé círculos y elipses de color blanco para darle más brillo.
Then with the same pen, I used lighter shades from my color palette to represent the lights and brightness throughout the drawing. I drew some white elipses and circles for the eyes to make them brighter.
Una vez listo el cuerpo y la ropa, empecé a aplicar color en las flamas de las manos ya que para mí es la parte más difícil de dibujar junto al cabello. Para ello usé un amarillo claro con la pluma suave y opacidad del 50% para darle una base un poco traslúcida, luego pasé el aerógrafo triangular para difuminar levemente esa capa de color.
Once the body and clothes were ready, I started to apply color to the flames of the hands since for me it is the most difficult part to draw along with the hair. To do this I used a light yellow with the soft pen and 50% opacity to give it a slightly translucent base, then I used the triangular airbrush to slightly blur that layer of color.
Después de esto, repetí el mismo procedimiento con la pluma suave y el aerógrafo triangular, pero está vez usando una capa de amarillo más oscura, y otra mucho más clara que la primera capa.
After this, I repeated the same procedure with the soft pen and the triangular airbrush, but this time using a darker layer of yellow, and another much lighter than the first layer.
Una vez terminado el personaje, decidí dibujarle un fondo, y algo curioso es que es la primera vez que dibujo un fondo como tal, ya que las veces anteriores solo pintaba todo el fondo de un solor color y listo. Para este fondo usé un rojo como vinotinto para recrear el interior de una cueva, y use tonalidades mucho mas claras para asemejar ese efecto de iluminación que crean las llamas de Tarsa en las estructuras de roca.
Once the character was finished, I decided to draw a background for it, and something curious is that it is the first time I draw a background as such, since the previous times I only painted the entire background in a single color and that's it. For this background I used a red like vinotinto to recreate the interior of a cave, and I used much lighter tones to resemble that lighting effect that the Tarsa flames create on the rock structures.
