[ESP/ENG] 🎨 SPLINTERLANDS ART CONTEST - WEEK 259 - CHARLOK MINOTAUR ✍️
Hola querida comunidad de Splinterlands, tras unos meses de ausencia finalmente estoy de vuelta (por ahora), espero ser mas constante esta vez aunque pierdo la motivación muy fácilmente, sin embargo regrese con un nuevo dibujo, y para esta oportunidad quise probar dibujando en digital. Aunque el resultado no fue el esperado terminó agradandome mucho, ya que aunque no se parece en nada al personaje que quería dibujar, al menos me gustó el resultado de la aplicación del color. Sigo retándome a mi misma para mejorar mis habilidades de dibujo y probar a dibujar personajes distintos.
Hello dear Splinterland's community, after a few months of absence I am finally back (for now), I hope to be more consistent this time although I lose motivation very easily, however I return with a new drawing, and this time I wanted to try drawing in digital. Although the result was not what I expected, I ended up liking it, even when it doesn't look anything like the character I wanted to draw, at least I liked the result of the color application. I keep challenging myself to improve my drawing skills and try drawing different characters.

Se que al ver el resultado de dibujo y comparar con la imagen del diseño original del personaje que quería dibujar, puede ser un poco confuso jajajaja pero para esta semana quise probar a dibujar a CHARLOK MINOTAUR ya que pensaba que no me costaría tanto (estaba equivocada xd) y nuevamente es algo que no había probado a dibujar con anterioridad, ya que como he dicho en reiteradas ocasiones, cuando dibujo (una vez a la cuaresma) a mano suelo hacer personajes de anime humanos.
I know that when you see the final result and compare it with the image of reference, it can be a little bit confusing hahahaha but for this week I wanted to try drawing CHARLOK MINOTAUR since I thought it wouldn't cost me so much (I was wrong xd) and again it is something that I had not tried to draw before, since as I have said repeatedly in other posts, when I draw (once in a lifetime) I usually make human anime characters.
También quise aventurarme a crear mi primer fanart en digital, y creo que el atreverme fue el paso mas dificil porque como no soy tan buena dibujando me genera un poco de inseguridad mostrar mis trabajos, aun así quiero retarme a hacer mas dibujos de este tipo y salir de mi zona de comfort.
Also, I wanted to venture myself in creating my first digital fanart, and I think that was in fact the most difficult step because since I am not that good at drawing, it makes me a little insecure to show my work, even so I want to challenge myself to make more drawings of this type and get out of my comfort zone.

🎨 Proceso de Dibujo /// Drawing Process
En primer lugar realicé el boceto del personaje a mano con el lápiz HB, esto debido a que originalmente haría el dibujo a mano pero luego decidí probar en digital así que procedí a calquearlo.
Firstly, I made the sketch of the character by hand with the HB pencil, this is because I was originally going to do the drawing by hand but then I decided to try it digitally so I proceeded to trace it.
Como pueden ver, en el trazado en digital que hice del boceto hay zonas que se interceptan así que tuve que crear otra capa con el trabajo de lineas y borrar las sobrantes para tener mi boceto final como se ve en las imágenes. Además le agregue un fondo color beige para resaltar el dibujo. El lineart definitivo lo realicé con un color marrón oscuro para que destacara sobre el fondo beige.
As you can see, in the layout that I made of the sketch there are areas that intersect so I had to create another layer with the line work and erase the excess to have my final sketch as seen in the images. I also added a beige background to highlight the drawing. I made the final lineart with a dark brown color so that it stood out against the beige background.
Luego comencé a aplicar el color plano en cada zona del dibujo, usando rojo para el cuerpo, amarillo para los ojos, un marrón café para los cuernos, un marrón mas claro para el mango del hacha, un gris para la hoja del hacha y las cadenas de la mano, un naranja intenso para el fragmento de ropa del minotauro, y por último un naranja opaco para la barba.
Then I began to apply the flat color in each area of the drawing, using red for the body, yellow for the eyes, a coffee brown for the horns, a lighter brown for the ax handle, a gray for the ax blade and the hand chains, a deep orange for the minotaur's clothing fragment, and finally a dull orange for the beard.
Una vez aplicado el color base/plano, procedí a usar tonalidades más oscuras para crear un efecto de sombras en cada zona del minotauro. Además use un pincel de doble punta para crear esos trazos finos en la barba, y un pincel de punta plata con un grosor mucho mayor y un tono naranja opaco aun mas oscuro para crear ese efecto en la barba como se ve en la imagen de la derecha.
Once the base/flat color was applied, I proceeded to use darker tones to create a shadow effect in each area of the minotaur. Additionally, I used a double-ended brush to create those fine lines in the beard, and a silver tip brush with a much larger thickness and an even darker opaque orange tone to create that effect in the beard as seen in the image below at the right side.
Seguidamente, procedí a aplicar una capa de tonalidades más claras para crear un efecto de luz y brillo en ciertas zonas del dibujo.
Next, I proceeded to apply a layer of lighter tones to create a light and shine effect in certain areas of the drawing.
Para finalizar, el último paso que realicé fue el de crear 2 capas nuevas donde pudiera remarcar el contorno del personaje en color blanco y en color negro, esto con el fin de resaltarlo aun mas y darle un efecto estilo stciker/calcomanía, luego de eso coloqué mi firma en digital de "@Rioluerr" para "sellar" de cierta forma mi dibujo, ya que recuerdo que mi profesor de pintura en bachillerato me enseñó que siempre debo de firmar mis dibujos ya que, feos o no, son míos. Y como toque final le agregué un pequeño logo que diseñé hace poco como "cara" de mi "marca" como futura ilustradora.
Finally, the last step I did was to create 2 new layers where I could highlight the outline of the character in white and black, this in order to highlight it even more and give it a sticker/decal style effect, after that I placed my digital signature of "@Rioluerr" to "seal" my drawing in a certain way, since I remember that my painting teacher in high school taught me that I should always sign my drawings since, ugly or not, they are mine. And as a final touch I added a small logo that I designed recently as the "face" of my "brand" as a future illustrator.
