Well, now isn't that one of the best feelings in the world, dada?
When we come up against players who are using such BOT/AI technology in the FPS realm, 8 out of 10 times we end up failing. BUT, and that's a big but, when we do pull through and win against those "cheaters", we then realize that the game is now quite easily in our hands.
Sometimes these players even have the audacity to talk back, talk trash lol. Instead of relying on skill, they're using "hacks" that do most of the work for them, while they just sit back and chill. Some of these players are delusional, thinking that they're actually good; whereas they have never put in the time to improve their skillset or to actually learn the game and its mechanics.
You really can't win as a solo against such players either, teamwork makes the dream work in such scenarios. And so far we've faced so many cheaters, of so many types, we have now somewhat become immune. We don't run and retreat anymore, instead we face them, and most of the time we actually end up beating them nowadays.
After the taste of victory, there's a huge flood of emotions; as we, the adept, secure our win, and the cheaters end up questioning their choices. Now that's an irreplaceable feeling, you just can't put a price on it.
At hive mostly I fight a losing battle, I know it, and my opponents know it. It is getting similar at SL as well. I take a lot of heat for doing that. Point I could care less, and not worry about it. I can easily have the best bot available. Hey I can get that for free! :)
But I don't. By choice.
That's what makes the difference. I see a lot of players say the same "if others are doing it, then why can't I?"
My answer is simple, we don't rely on such mechanics because it's cowardly. And not only is it unfair and "artificial", it also ruins the game for 90% of the player base who actually believe in fair and skillful play.
