Hi hivers, I hope you are having a great week.
I have been working on this art since yesterday, and the truth is that I quite liked the result.

This land card is not that strong but has a good amount of life for the little mana it costs.

Some images of the process / Algunas imágenes del proceso

  • This time I decided to do the modeling and not sculpting to be able to make the model move.

  • After making the previous base, I gave it the circular shape of the trunk to then continue with the branches of the head.

  • After that, I started to work on the face, which was one of the parts that took the longest to do, apart from the rig, since I was getting an error due to the loose vertices that are the leaves of the tree, although I think I was ahead of it a bit to what the process is hahaha.

  • finishing with the face, I began to make the arms and give details in general, such as the branches that come out of the body.

  • And to finish I made the leaves of the trees, which were the ones that gave me the problem with the rig, as I had mentioned before, what I did was put in another separate object to the trunk and I moved them for each position.
As for the texture, it is something simple, although I forgot to take screenshots, flat color for the leaves and the trunk that turned out very well, I put a noise node on it and raised the roughness.

Did you use multires modifier?

If you ever revisit this or something similar again have a look at particles for the leaves, might save you manually placing them (maybe you already did particles but it sounds like you manually placed things XD).

The tree came out looking pretty good :) have you tried mixing nodes together to get some fun effects?

With "feet" like that I feel like walking must be so awkward for the poor tree, I guess they don't have to walk around too much XD

hahahaha I did not use particles, I have come to use them but a long time ago and I do not remember how they are used.
What I did create a tree with the addon and put the leaves on it, then delete the curves and put it on it. As for the multires, i no use it, just use the subdivision of surfaces.
And I know nodes can create great things, but I have to experiment, I think it looks good with just those two nodes.

hahaha I was going to try to cheer him up, but with the problem I had with the leaves, I couldn't do it.
