This rule is difficult to understand. It is not the content of the rule, but the measures.
For example, if you organize in FIRE, you cannot use TENYII STRIKER or GOBALANO SOLDIER, and in LIFE, you cannot use IMPERIAL KNIGHT or STITCH LEECH.
Neither you nor your opponent can use them. But you might put in a countermeasure card for a card that you can't use.

このルールはわかりにくい。ルール内容ではなく、対策が、だ。
たとえばFIREで編成する場合、 TENYII STRIKER も GOBALANO SOLDIER も使えない。LIFEなら IMPERIAL KNIGHT も STITCH LEECH も使えない。

Cards with odd costs cannot be used by either you or your opponent. But you might put in a countermeasure card for a card that should not be usable.
For example, if you play IMPERIAL KNIGHT, you might think that OSHANNUS will take a long time to defeat it, or you might prepare a monster that can be sniped by CAPTAIN KATIE's magic snipe.

コストが奇数のカードは自分も相手も使えない。それなのに使えないはずのカードの対策カードをつい入れちゃったりするよね。
例えば IMPERIAL KNIGHT を置かれた場合にOSHANNUSだと倒すのに時間がかかるとか、 CAPTAIN KATIE の魔法スナイプを受けるモンスターを用意するとか考えちゃう。

The strategy is to defeat the rear guard with DEEPLURKER while enduring with DJINN OSHANNUS. I would like to strengthen with VENARI MARKSRAT and heal with MERDAALI GUARDIAN, but they cost 3, so I can't use them.

DJINN OSHANNUS で耐えつつ DEEPLURKER で後衛を倒す作戦。本当なら VENARI MARKSRAT で強化したり、 MERDAALI GUARDIAN で回復したりしたいけど、コストが3だから使えないね。

It seems that my opponent is also trying to protect his rear guard with Lookout, but I am taking him down well with MAR TOREN SEEKER's long-range attack and DEEPLURKER's attack.
But for some reason, the Lookout icon disappears in the middle of the first turn. Why?

対戦相手もLookoutで後衛を守ろうとしているようだけど、 MAR TOREN SEEKER の遠距離攻撃と DEEPLURKER の攻撃でしっかり倒している。
でも、なぜか1ターン目の途中からLookoutのアイコンが消えてるね。なんで？

I can't quite figure it out from the help. Why is it gone?
Also, I didn't know Lookout can also reduce Ambush damage.

ヘルプを見てもよくわからないね。なんで消えているんだろう？
あと、LookoutってAmbushのダメージも減らせるんだね。知らなかったよ。

I can't explain it well, but I don't think you should do anything too different with this rule because it doesn't change what you can do itself.
I'm not a fan of Odd Ones Out, which is a similar rule. Because often the monster that plays the tank role that I often use is not available.

うまく説明できないけど、このルールの場合はできること自体は変わらないのであまり変わったことをしない方がいいと思う。
似たルールのOdd Ones Outの方が私は苦手だな。よく使うタンク役のモンスターが使えないことが多いから。
