A turning point in your journey—that's what it is. My turning point in Splinterlands was probably when I started collecting GF.

GF is great, right? Both RF (Regular Foil) and GF (Gold Foil) have the same abilities, but GF comes with bonus rewards in battles and requires fewer cards to level up, making it easier to manage.

Above all, don't you think the sense of satisfaction from owning them is incredible? You don't? Oh. Right...

The first GF cards I purchased were CAMILA SUNGAZER and THE VIGILATOR.

I bought these two cards for about $1,300. The reason I bought two GF Legends was so I could battle in the GOLD League. Back then, you needed CP (Collection Power) to climb the ranked battle leagues, so I think you needed about two GF Legends to battle in the GOLD League.

I was poring over the card list, trying really hard to decide which cards to buy. Actually, VIGILATOR was incredibly strong, and CAMILA was also doing great as a Summoner specifically for using VIGILATOR.

But at first, I didn't have any other cards, so I was just fumbling around, trying different things and buying cheap cards. Of course, my win rate wasn't that high, and I didn't know any abilities, so I played while having the official abilities page open.

And then, while I was playing like that, the bubble hit. Even when I started, the DEC price was already pretty high, but it kept climbing and ended up surpassing $0.01.

The game gained attention for being quite profitable, attracting more Japanese players who exchanged info on Discord and Twitter. Seeing players who'd been playing longer than me collect GF made me insanely jealous.

I kept saying, “I want GF too,” while also complaining about money. Starting to collect GF was my turning point.

Back when I started collecting GF, I never imagined card prices would drop. I thought, “If I get bored, I can just sell them.” But in the end, I've kept almost all of them.

Selling them is a pain, and I want to keep my favorites. For some reason, I have two GF level 4s and one RF level 4 for MYLOR CROWLING.

I don't play Wild, but I'm happy because I can make a decent amount of money from rentals.

I also have a lot of Chaos Legion cards that I collected through GF, but there are so many of them that the rental price is low, so I've left them alone. I'd be happy if Wild or Savival became more popular and I could make a little bit of money from rentals.

I still try to buy as much as possible at GF, but legendary cards are so expensive that I can't afford them.

Still, the satisfaction of owning them is different, so I still buy cards I like at GF. I want money!

Of course, if you collect cards at GF, the prices are higher than at RF, so I can't buy every card, but I try to choose cards that are as versatile as possible.

Recently, I managed to get CALAMITY through GF. A magic attacker with a mana cost of 4 and Life Leech is bound to be strong! I also liked the illustration, so I decided to buy it the moment I saw it.

It's strong when you actually play, but the cards you combine with it are also expensive when you buy them through GF, so it's difficult to raise funds. 🤣

Come to think of it, the ESCALATION mini-set will be released in February. I'll have to buy more cards, but how am I going to raise the money?

I was planning to earn SPS from games and save it, but I haven't been able to earn any at all...I'm in a difficult situation.

GF良いですよね。RF（Regular Foil）もGF（Gold Foil）も能力は同じですが、バトルの報酬にボーナスもつくし、レベル上げるときの枚数も少ないから管理しやすい。

私が最初に購入したGFのカードは CAMILA SUNGAZER と THE VIGILATOR でした。

この2枚を $1,300 くらいで購入したんですよね。なぜGFレジェンドを2枚も買ってるのかというと、GOLDリーグでバトルできるようにです。あの頃はランクバトルのリーグを上げるためにCP（Collection Power）が必要だったため、GOLDリーグでバトルするにはGFレジェンドが2枚くらい必要だったと思います。

カードの一覧を眺めて一生懸命買うカードを考えていたんですよね。実際、 VIGILATOR はとても強かったし、 CAMILA さんも VIGILATOR を使うためのサモナーとして活躍してました。

しかし、最初は他にカードもなく、手探りでいろいろ試しつつ、安いカードを買ってたような気がします。もちろん勝率もそんな高くないし、アビリティなんかも覚えてなかったから公式でアビリティのページを開きながらプレイしてました。

そんなこんなでプレイしている間にバブルが来ましてね。もともと私が始めたタイミングでもかなり DEC の価格は上がっていたのですがそれがさらに上がって $0.01 を超えてきたわけですよ。

かなり稼げるゲームという事で注目度も上がり日本人プレイヤーも増えて Discords や Twitter で情報交換してたわけですが私よりも昔からプレイしてるプレイヤーの方がGFで揃えてるのを見てめちゃくちゃ羨ましくて。

私もGF欲しいなーと言いつつ、お金がーといいつつ。GFを集めだしたのが私のターニングポイントですね。

GFを集めだした当時はカードの価格が落ちるとは想定してなくて、「飽きたら売ればいいし。」なんて思ってたんですけど、結局ほとんど売らずに持ってます。

売却の手間が面倒くさいのと、やっぱりお気に入りは所有していたいというのがありますね。 MYLOR CROWLING なんかはなぜか GFレベル4が2枚、RFのレベル4も1枚持ってるし。

私は Wild はプレイしないんだけど、レンタルで結構稼いでくれるので満足してます。

後はカオスレギオンのカードもGFで集めたので沢山ありますが、枚数が多すぎてレンタル価格も安いし、これらはもう放置ですね。 Wild とか Savival が盛り上がってレンタルで少しずつ稼いでくれるようになれば嬉しいんだけども。

今でもなるべくGFで買うようにはしていますが、レジェンドカードなんかは高くてとても手が出なかったりします。

それでもやっぱり所有する満足感が違うので気に入ったカードなんかはGFで購入したりしています。お金が欲しー！

もちろん、GFで集めると値段はRFより高くなるのですべてのカードを購入とかできないんですけど、なるべく汎用性の高いカードを選んで集めています。

最近では CALAMITY はがんばってGFで買いましたね。マナコスト4で魔法アタッカーで Life Leech のユニットなんて強いに決まってるし！ イラストも気に入っていたので見た瞬間に即購入決定です。

実際プレイで使っても強いんですけど、組み合わせて使うカードもGFで買うとお高かったりして資金調達が大変。🤣

そういえば、2月にはミニセットの ESCALATION が発売されるんでしたっけ。またカード買わないといけないんだけど、資金をどうしたものか。

ゲームでSPSを稼いで貯金しておくつもりだったんですけど、全然稼げてないし...🧸ったもんです。
