Pembrook Summoner

Along the Pembrook, a peaceful creek that flows through the Maywaren Forest, there is said to be a creature of unparalleled beauty. This mythical being, known as the river nymph, is said to be a powerful guardian of the ley lines and boundary between the Fey Plane and the Splinterlands. Using her water magic, she protects this mystical realm from those who seek to exploit its secrets for their own gain.

Many locals warn travelers to avoid the Pembrook and the river nymph, as they believe that her charms can drive even the strongest of wills mad with desire. Despite these warnings, some travelers still attempt to seek out this elusive creature, believing that they are immune to her powers. However, few return unscathed, and many are left babbling incoherently about their encounters with the river nymph.

It is said that the river nymph's beauty is beyond compare, with long flowing hair, full lips, and perfect skin. But it is her otherworldly powers that make her truly fearsome. She can call upon the magic of the fey to do her bidding, and her water magic is said to be capable of beguiling even the most strong-willed of individuals.

As such, it is best for travelers to heed the warnings of the locals and avoid the Pembrook altogether. For the river nymph's charms are not to be trifled with, and those who seek her out do so at great peril to themselves.

Splinterlands Evolution

The three men ambled along the bank of the Pembrook, joking and shoving each other playfully.

"I'll have that river nymph under my spell in no time," the first man boasted. "Just wait and see."

The second man rolled his eyes. "You two are all talk. If anyone's going to win her heart, it's me."

The third man chuckled. "You're both fools. She's a mythical creature, not some barmaid in a tavern."

As they continued on, the birds sang and the squirrels chattered, but their laughter drowned out the sounds of nature. However, as they approached a bend in the creek, they stumbled upon a stunning sight.

A woman stood waist-deep in the Pembrook, her long hair cascading down her back. She wore a headdress and pauldrons fit for a queen, but little else. The three men gaped in awe.

"It's her," the first man gasped.

Without a second thought, the third man dashed towards the woman, heedless of his friends' protests. As he waded into the water, the nymph gave him a coy smile and beckoned him closer before disappearing beneath the surface.

The creek grew still, and the two remaining men stood in stunned silence, realizing too late the danger of their folly.
