Hello! I'm back this week for the Splinterlands contest with a work done in traditional art. At first I was going to do it digitally, in fact I spent several days in that first process but I hated the result because I wanted to do something a little more realistic to vary things, anyway, I tried and tried and yesterday, while I was waiting for my husband to return the tablet screen to me (I'm lending it to him because he doesn't have a screen for his computer) hahaha, I started sketching and when I realized I was already very involved in the design. I had not done a job like this for too long and it was an experience that I had forgotten, it felt very nice and relaxing and I really enjoyed it a lot. I hope you like it!

Hola! He vuelto esta semana para el concurso de Splinterlands con una obra hecha en arte tradicional. En un principio la iba a realizar de manera digital, de hecho pase varios días en ese primer proceso pero el resultado lo odiaba porque quería hacer algo un poco más realista para variar la cosa, en fin, lo intenté e intenté y ayer, mientras estaba esperando a que mi esposo me regresara la pantalla de la tablet (se la estoy prestando porque no tiene pantalla para su computadora) hahaha, me puse a bocetear y cuando me di cuenta ya estaba muy metida en el diseño. Tenía demasiado tiempo sin hacer un trabajo así y fue una experiencia que había olvidado, se sintió muy bonito y relajante y de verdad lo disfrute muchísimo. Espero les guste!

I built during the march, as it was not something I was taking very seriously I only started with the face part, later I added more details and from there... there was no one to stop me hahaha. For the materials I used graphite pencils, the first one that you can see in these photographs was a normal school pencil, nothing very special.

Construí durante la marcha, como no era algo que me estaba tomando muy en serio solo comencé con la parte del rostro, ya después fui agregando más detallitos y luego de allí no había quien me detuviera hahaha. Para los materiales utilicé lápices de grafito, el primero que pueden ver en estas fotografías era un lápiz normal de colegio, nada muy especial.

By this time when I started to give volume to her hair I said "Enough, we have to dust off the other pencils" 😆. To give it greater contrast I used a 6B pencil and an 8B which is the little one seen in the photo, it has been with me for so many years that I am surprised that I have not given it a name and alo I found a moldable eraser, just a small piece that survived from my years of student.

Ya para este momento que comencé a darle volumen al cabello dije "Suficiente, hay que desempolvar los otros lápices" 😆. Para darle mayor contraste utilicé un lápiz 6B y un 8B que es el pequeñito que se ve en la foto, tiene tantos años conmigo que me sorprende que no le haya colocado nombre y por allá conseguí una borra moldeable, apenas un pedacito que sobrevivió de mis años de estudiante.

During this stage I wasn't sure whether to do the background or not, it usually happens that I end up smearing it when I do the backgrounds so I was in doubt but, putting that out of my head as it was something to help with the contrast and to show the lights there was no choice. I was very happy with the result because first, as I had mentioned, I had a long time without dedicating myself to doing graphite work like this and second because it is very nice to see everything I have improved in all this time ❤️

Durante esta etapa no estaba segura si hacerle el fondo o no, suele pasarme que la termino embarrandola cuando hago los fondos entonces estaba en duda pero, quitándome eso de la cabeza como era algo para ayudar con el contraste y que se vieran las luces pues no había opción. Quedé muy contenta con el resultado porque primero, como había mencionado tenía mucho tiempo sin dedicarme a hacer un trabajo a grafito así y segundo porque es muy bonito ver todo lo que he mejorado en todo este tiempo ❤️
