For this battle, we have the featured rule set Aim True which makes all types of attacks hit their target without missing together with Close Range which allows range monsters to attack at 1st position and Taking Sides which bans the use of Neutral monsters. Given this conditions, I choose the following line- up:

  • Summoner: I used Quix the Devious to reduce the range and speed of the opponent since the opponent can either go with only range and magic and so that I can use dragon splinters.

  • 1st Position: I used Baakjira for my tank since it has very huge amount of health but also increases the health of all allied monster with Strengthen and reduce the speed of all opponent monsters with Slow. It also has Void which reduces damage from magic attacks and Heal to restore the damage that it has taken.

  • 2nd Position: I placed the Kulu Mastermind which has the Opportunity ability to target the monster with the lowest health and Weapons Training which gives 2 melee attack to Baakjira.

  • 33d Position: I placed the Deeplurker which also has Opportunity and also has Demoralize which reduces the melee damage of the opponent monsters and has 50% chance to deal Poison.

  • 4th Position: I placed the River Hellondale which has the Inspire ability by which it increased the melee damage of my monsters by 1 and it also got Dispel which removes the buffs of the target. It can also revives a monster once with Ressurect.

  • 5th Position: I used Angelic Mandarin which reduces the magic of the opponent by 1 and restores the health of backline monsters with Triage.

  • 6th Position: I placed Wave Brood which also has the Void ability as well as Return Fire which returns range damage to the attacker. It has the Taunt ability which attracts all abled monster to attack this card. It also has Close Range but with the available rule sets, it can still attack at front position either ways.

Battle Recap

Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at 3speak or in Splinterlands.

Aim True2.png

Did your Strategy Work?

For this battle, I have most of the abilities that would help me to won the match with the Aim True rule set. I got the Speed and Armor Boost from my summoner and got to increase my health and melee damage with Baakjira and River Hellondale while also providing stat debuffs for my opponent. I also have Wave Brood which deals Return Fire to the range monster of the opponent. Speed was very helpful on this rule set but we can also see that having huge health would make it harder for the opponent to defeat my team just like with Baakjira and Wavebrood and despite their speed, their attacks will certainly hit, leaving the opponent with no way to escape.

That Baakjira at max level was a hell of a Tanker there! I see how damage debuff bring major effects here. My only opinion, I think Backfire would be useless in Aim True ruleset, since its triggered by getting hit.

(Edited)

if u think that the opponent will use range then it will be a handy since every time they hit you, they will receive damage which at aim true rule set is a 100% to happen same with thorns and magic reflect so they are receiving twice the damage (return fire + range attack by wave brood). It's just that the opponent has chosen someone with life leech so the damage get reduced.

btw, thanks for coming by my post!
