Why you should have the thorn monsters

Into Splinterlands as a player first. A gamer who does well in Splinterlands can also be referred to as a professional gamer because the Hive-based game has also made sure that the player earns well. It is not just the early gamer that has benefitted but even now, players who do well get cards that help them progress in the game. It is a complete package and the new edition - Rebellion will change how the battles are played out.

The thorn ability

Imagine every summoner having the thorn ability like Mylor but that is not possible. So, what is possible is that you can start using monsters that have the thorn ability and one such monster that I always use is the dragon tank -

The mighty stats of this monster help me win matches most times that I use it. Recent combinations used by opponents like that of the water teams using the coastal sentry in the second position are a threat sometimes. I never usually miss the chance to use this as a tank. I have seen players using such thorn monsters in the fourth position too but that is a risk because melee monsters cannot fight from such positions unless it is the sneak rule or all melee and such.

Another thorn monster that I often use is the cursed Windeku. This tank also helps me a lot because of its thorn and self-healing ability. It is a death monster and therefore cannot be used in any other but I am sure Rebellion is going to change all that and then the exciting game plays and preferred combos may be a thing of the past. Just read all about the Rebellion on the @splinterlands blog page. Get yourself those packs and have an advantage before the general sale. I am also hoping that the bull run will help me get more packs and cards.

Unlike the previous editions, there are a lot of new changes and new rules that are being brought about and this will change how the game works. So, if you are a player who struggles with the wild bots, these changes could be an advantage and help you in winning more. It usually does take the bots a bit of time to master such new rules. Therefore, book your packs and use them straight away.

A few other useful cards that you must have in your teams are the neutrals. Especially the neutrals that can change the game like the creeping ooze, the cocatrice, the cube, the magical monsters, etc.

If you are a wild format player, you will need the earlier edition cards too because these are still being used and will help you win more. Untamed edition moving on to the wild format could definitely help the new players opting for the modern format. The costly untamed summoners like the Byzantine Kitty and the Yodin Zaku or the Krom Llama combo will no longer be a threat to the modern player but it remains to be seen how game-changing the rebellion set will be.

The arrival of the Rebellion will also change the modern frays in Brawls. I wonder how it would be adjusted accordingly. Please check the Splinterlands discord and take part in healthy discussions.
