ShardWorks: Automate Your SPS Rental Bids with new Rent SPS Feature

Managing staked SPS (SPSP) rentals in Splinterlands has always meant manually returning to the marketplace every seven days to renew your bids. ShardWorks now
handles this automatically with the new Rent SPS operation.

What It Does

Rent SPS places a bid on the Splinterlands delegation marketplace on your behalf and renews it before it expires — hands-free, on a schedule you control.

Every time the job runs it checks two things before placing a bid:

1. Open bid already exists? → Skip. No point duplicating a bid that hasn't been filled yet.
2. Active delegation still fresh? → Skip. If your current rental has more time remaining than your configured renewal threshold, there is nothing to do yet.

Only when neither condition is met does it broadcast a new sm_rent_token transaction.

Configuration

Open Configuration → Rent SPS Setup. The panel works like the Land and Voucher Liquidity panels: check the accounts you want to automate, then expand each
one to set its parameters.

Setting	What it means
Quantity (SPSP)	How much staked SPS to rent, in whole units (e.g. 425000)
Price (DEC/SPSP/day)	Your bid price — minimum is 0.001, which is also the game floor
Renew bid (days before expiry)	How many days before the 7-day rental ends to trigger a renewal (1–6)

Multiple accounts are supported. Each account gets its own quantity, price, and renewal threshold.

Key requirement: the account placing the bid needs its active key stored in ShardWorks.

Scheduling

Once configured, go to Jobs → Create Job, select Rent SPS from marketplace in the Token Flow group, and set a schedule. Running it daily at a fixed time
is sufficient — the built-in skip logic prevents any duplicate bids regardless of how often the job fires.

Monitoring

The job appears in the Job Health panel under Monitoring like any other operation. Failed bids, skipped runs, and successful placements are all logged and
trigger alarms according to your configured rules.
