Thankful for the creators of Splinterland for a great game and ability to play 2 earn.

If you are like me, you enjoy playing Splinterlands. The game play itself is great and Iam looking forward to the updates being constantly done. I love being able to come home after a long day at work, play a few battles, and hopefully complete the days daily quest. With completing the daily quest and receiving the rewards it does a few things for me.

One is that it usually increases my account value by adding cards, potions, and DEC. The addition of extra cards receivied from rewards can sold for DEC or used in your battles to help increase your power rating. By increasing the power rating you are able to move up to higher Leagues and ultimately obtain better and more rewards for the seasons. I know the potions don't seem to be very exciting when we get them as a reward, but they do help us. By getting a potion in a reward we don't need to buy potions when opening new packs. Potions also help to obtain Better cards such as gold or Legendary cards which are always worth more then the common cards. Receiving DEC as a reward is obvious that it increases you amount of DEC and that help get larger airdrops of SPS, as well as let you purchase other in game items.

The other thing completing daily quests does is give me a goal to reach everyday. If I complete the daily quests everyday I feel I am adding to my value and game experience. Many times I tend to use the same summoner for most battles. When I complete the daily quest I am forced to use different summoners. By being forced to battle with different summoners, I am forced to learn better battel strategies. Sometimes, the new battle strategies are better then my old go to strategies.

The rental market

Having spare cards to rent out is a nice daily addition to your DEC balance. Through purchasing cards and obtaining cards from quest / season rewards I have started a fairly decent collection. Due to the randomness of cards packs and rewards I end up with a regular card and a gold card of the same character. I will choose whether the gold card or regular card is of more value during battles for me and then rent the other out. I also do not level up my cards until I can jump from one level to the next. The extra cards that I have I also rent out until I am able to level up that particular card.

It seemed the rental markete was dropping daily and it required me to check daily on my prices and adjust them so that my cards would rent out. Let's face it having a card to rent out and trying to get more then the current value for the rental is only going to leave your card unrented and frustrate you. I noticed that over the last few weeks my cards have been staying rented and I do not need to check on them as often. Seems like there is a stabalization in the rental market. This stabalization is also good for those that want to rent cards to reach higher leagues. I am happy that the creators of Splinterlands started the rental market which gives all of us a chance to earn DEC daily even if we don't play everyday.

Land Expansion

Back in 2020, I saw that Splinterlands was working on a land expansion to the game. Splinterlands offered land for sale and like many other I purchased land. I also received totems from a ticket lottery that was held at the conclusion of the sale. The land expansion promised to inlude land, buildings, totems, and being able to mint items and spells. As it seems like everyone else playing Splinterlands I am still eagerly awaiting the release. Will the lands have buildings that can be upgraded or possibly move buildings from one land to another? What will the totems be able to do for us, will some of the totems be used in battles or will they be used to increase resources obtained from the lands? Will the lands have mines earning player passive income? I am hoping the land expansion still will allow players to create items and spells. Which hopefully will have a market that will allow trade between players and purchasing from the game. All this we will just have to wait and see. Being that Splinterlands as a game was so well done, I am sure the designers want the land expansion to be epic. In my opinion, even though it is taking forever to be released, I believed anything worth having is worth waiting for.

The last thing I would like to say is thank you to the creators and everyone that keeps Splinterlands running so smoothly. I have recently tried to play games on other blockchains and found them to freeze often and some even require a constant staking of thier coins in order to receive enough power to play the games. I found many new play 2 earn games are gimicks with creators of these games trying to get rich. I am lucky to have found both Splinterlands and Rising Star which are both played on Hive. The Hive platform does seem to be the most stable and well organized platforms I have tried. I am currently selling everything I have on other blockchains that don't seem to operate as smoothly and moving everything to Hive.

A BIG THANK YOU to the creators of Splinterlands, Rising Star, and Hive. I really enjoy the whole experience.

Thank you for reading this post and let the creators of our game know that you appreciate them also.

Another game I really like to play is Rising Star. If you have not played it yet I highly recomend it and it doesn't cost anything to start in it. Here is my link to Rising Star.

Great summary. I enjoy Splinterlands also. In regard to renting cards, there is a big spike in rental prices in the last 36 hours of the season. You may want to look at that time period for renting a card for the highest return. Also, summoners do not rent as well as monsters for me. Some of my favorite rentals are low-cost gold cards like the Pelacors. If you use #peakmonsters, you can bid on cards. I look at the average price for the last month and then bid near the troughs. #splinterlands also offers SPS based on card power and DEC. Which is great because even the cards you rent to others will still qualify for SPS airdrops.
