The recent downturn in card prices and SPS price came about because they released large numbers of Chaos Legion packs early rather a slower release throughout the year.

Reducing the total packs created, and having a burn date, creates a scarcity within the market.

4 months without a new expansion set allows to people calm down a little, focus on playing the game (and generally having fun), saving money and vouchers for whatever comes next.

In the last days of Untamed, a huge number of packs sold out and I think we could see the same thing possibly with Chaos Legion or Rebellion.
