Tree shopping, Chasing Pokémon, and Splinterlands

Busy is an understatement for today. I was on the prowl for a Christmas tree and was catching Pokémon along the way and logged over 6000 steps! To unwind afterwards I played a bunch of splinterlands.

When did artificial Christmas trees get so darn expensive!? $670 for a lit tree just seems excessive. They had some very small ones for a couple hundred but even that was ridiculous for what you get. I’m probably just going to forego the tradition this year and save my money. In previous years I have put up a tiny little Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but now I’m in a much bigger space and I thought a bigger tree would be more appropriate. Oh well.

Pokémon Go

It’s too bad playing Pokémon doesn’t earn me any money. If they ever decide to enter the blockchain gaming world I think It would be an absolute game changer!

It’s been a great 2021 for me when it comes to Pokémon. I’ve been leveling up my strongest monsters as I am able and I can overtake just about any pokegym in my local area with relative ease. The highest level monsters I have seen around here have CP of less than 2000.

Splinterlands

This battle had the earthquake and healed out limitations and only 18 mana allowed. I decided to see how effective Chimney Wallstop could be be on his own with the blast ability from a Yodin summoner.

I’ll save the results of this battle until my next Splinterlands #brawlreport. I mentioned previously how much I love these new Gladiator cards and I’m having fun practicing with them as best I can during brawls. I think the power balance in brawls is going to move sharply toward those guilds that have unlocked the ability to use gladiator cards.
