My New Splinterlands VOUCHER Strategy

That's right, I'm selling my VOUCHER tokens as soon as they hit my @Splinterlands account each day. It's not because I'm a party pooper or have any reservations about the future of the game.

As I wrote previously, my goal was to acquire 1,000 VOUCHER tokens in order to attain the rank of Legionnaire during the Chaos Legion pre-sale event. Well, I had NO idea that VOUCHER prices would be selling steadily at over $25 each! At these prices, I would much rather stack up my VOUCHER selling profits and use them to buy even more Chaos Legion packs once the full sale begins next month.

I expect to receive about 40 VOUCHER tokens over the course of the airdrop. If prices stay right around $25 each, that means I'll receive $1000 in profits that I can turn around and use to buy 250 more Chaos Legion packs than I originally planned to. Who knows what gold or legendary card may turn up if I have 250 more packs (1250 more cards) to open!

This is what I love about Splinterlands. There is something for everyone here.
For those that really want to get that Legionnaire title, or be one of the top 6 pre-sale pack acquirers and design their own card, they can do it! For those of us with smaller budgets, we can profit from that too by selling those whales our VOUCHERs! There is always a way to play and profit with Splinterlands and I hope you take the opportunity to look around and see the opportunity that is best suited for your goals.

Nearly 24 Hour VOUCHER Snapshot

After nearly 24 hours, there's no sign of prices falling and plenty of demand continues to pour in to purchase VOUCHERs.

As you can see above, over $122,000 worth of VOUCHERs have been sold in less than 24 hours.

Now, it's always possible that this FOMO-fever that is hitting the VOUCHER market could die down in a week or two and allow some lower sale prices as 33,333 tokens are minted each day. If that's the case, then I will jump back in and buy, buy, buy anything below 2 Hive! Perhaps I can pull off an epic trade like Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd in Trading Places by selling high and buying back low!

Today's Featured Battle

I had a fun battle today against an opponent who had been using water decks in every single battle. So I decided to unleash some magic reflect on him :)

I also discovered that there has been a change to Daily Chest Rewards! This was the last battle I needed to complete the daily challenge and then I ended up with a single chest of credits even though I was Silver rank. It turns out there is now a requirement that you maintain rank for at least a certain number of hours in order to qualify for that level chest. I'm still trying to figure out how many hours the waiting period is. Needless to say I'm quite disappointed with this change, but I understand why the devs are doing it... to force people to buy and hold more cards. However, for those of us that rent out our high DEC cards, this change stings.
