Going for Gold! - Splinter Stats Season 66 Report Card

(Edited)

I decided to push my rank this season and finished in Gold II. I haven't really pushed like this in months and it's because it rarely results in rewards that are worth the cost of me renting the cards necessary to get there. However, this season, I decided to rent my favorite Untamed cards for the brawl and continue those rentals another day through the end of season so I could grind higher and keep a good portion of my CP at a lower than normal rental price compared to the last 24 hours of the season.

To get the big boost of 100,000 CP I did have to rent a card on the last day of the season for 100 CP/DEC. For the final two days of the season, I spent 6,625.7 credits on rentals, the bulk of which was for that 100,000 CP card on EOS day for 4,659 credits. Did I get my money's worth?

Despite hitting Gold II in the final day of the season, I still managed to have a win rate of 66% this season! My strategy is mostly dependent on the Untamed cards that I rent for brawls and then use the rental period to grind it out in ranked battle. I like sticking with Untamed because I know how they work with each other, versus trying to keep up with the myriad new cards in all the other editions.

I spent about $4.66 just to get 100,000 CP to enter the Gold II rank this season and based on these rewards, it was not worth it. I don't think I have ever had a season end reward that was worth more than the cost of renting power.

In this case the most valuable card I received was Lava Launcher, but even that is only worth $0.59. As always, I have zero luck when it comes to the RNG of Splinterlands... EOS chests, daily quest chests, and pack openings are just always horrible for me!

Since the release of Chaos Legion, I have been staking my SPS as I receive it from the airdrops. It's built up to about $20 now and it is simply from the airdrop value of the Splinterlands assets I hold, including three plots of land that I have invested in over the past two months. Because it is only $20 worth, the Voucher airdrop isn't that significant and I've just been selling off this VOUCHER dust occasionally as I get it.
