Hola queridos amigos artistas de Hive, felices fiestas! Un saludo para la comunidad de Sketchbook y a los jugadores de Splinterlands. El día de hoy les traigo un fanart que hoy finalmente terminé para el concurso de Social Media de la comunidad de Splinterlands.

Como siempre, me parece que una de la mejores manera de divulgar un videojuego es creando contenido acerca de este, y por eso realicé esta ilustración de la carta prospecto Daigendark Surveyor, la cual forma parte del pack Rebellion de Splinterlands.

A continuación les enseñaré el paso a paso de cómo realicé la ilustración de este personaje, espero les guste.

Hello dear Hive artist friends, happy holidays! Greetings to the Sketchbook community and Splinterlands players. Today I bring you a fanart I finally finished today for the Splinterlands community Social Media contest.

As always, I think that one of the best ways to spread the word about a video game is to create content about it, and that's why I made this illustration of the Daigendark Surveyor prospect card, which is part of the Splinterlands Rebellion pack.

Next I will show you the step by step of how I made the illustration of this character, I hope you like it.

Proceso 🌱 Process

Empecé boceteando la silueta del personaje sin tomar atención del vestuario todavía, decidí realizarlo bastante similar a la carta original pero en mi estilo, para ver que tal me quedaba la pose y la expresión.

I started sketching the silhouette of the character without paying attention to the costume yet, I decided to make it quite similar to the original card but in my style, to see how the pose and expression would look like.

Posterior a esto me detuve a agregar los detalles caracteristicos del personaje, como sus accesorios, el cabello, y poco a poco fui añadiendo las prendas de ropa y completando la expresión, todo esto guíandome de la carta original.

After that I stopped to add the characteristic details of the character, like his accessories, the hair, and little by little I added the clothes and completed the expression, all this guided by the original card.

Base color

Los colores base los extraje directamente de la carta original, esta vez sin alterar su saturación como suelo realizar ocasionalmente.

I extracted the base colors directly from the original chart, this time without altering their saturation as I usually do occasionally.

Coloring

Empecé coloreando la piel, dandole un poco más de vida con tonalidades violetas y rosas, y sombreando con tonos púrpuras.

I started by coloring the skin, giving it a little more life with violet and pink tones, and shading with purple tones.

Posteriormente coloreé el cabello y las ropa, más que todo sombreando con tonos violetas, en cuanto a la diadema, le apliqué una capa de luminosidad para hacerla más brillante.

I then colored the hair and clothes, mostly by shading with violet tones, and then I applied a layer of brightness to the headband to make it shinier.

Para la montura de los lentes, apliqué un color celeste y le bajé la opacidad, luego en una capa de luminosidad, le hice unos pequeños reflejos.

For the frame of the glasses, I applied a light blue color and lowered the opacity, then in a layer of luminosity, I made some small reflections.

Finalmente, acoplé toda la imagen y mezclé un poco los colores con un pincel normal, para difuminar algunas areas, y le apliqué desenfoque gaussiano.

Finally, I flattened the whole image and blended the colors a bit with a normal brush, to blur some areas, and applied Gaussian blur.
