A variety of the already beautiful mandarinfish, the Angelic Mandarinfish is said to be blessed by the magic of the sea. They swim in the most gorgeous of tropical waters, and live peaceful lives in harmony with all around them. It is said that the touch of an Angelic Mandarinfish has healing properties. And that if one sees an injured person in need, they will swim up and stare into your eyes. As if looking into your soul. If they deem you to be kind, they will heal your wounds.

Overview

Angelic Mandarin is a strong low mana (3) ranged attacker. The best ruleset is for him the Little League but can be a good fit in low mana games. Cause big health he can be placed in the last position.

Battle RulesetsDescription
Close RangeRanged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
Meleee MayhemMelee attack Monsters can attack from any position.

Close Range info: You can use high HP or high speed Ranged monsters at position 2 (or even at position 1 if it has Heal). Choose summoners that give a bonus to Ranged attack or to speed and then choose high damage Ranged attack monsters. Beware of the possibility that your opponent might pick Lir Deepswimmer as summoner or monsters with Return Fire. High HP and Heal are the way to go in this ruleset.

Melee Mayhem info: If you have melee monsters in the back-line with Sneak or Opportunity, those abilities take precedence. Select a summoner that increases melee attack or a summoner that reduces melee attack of enemies + a tank with Shield. Thorns, Inspire, Blast, and Retaliate help in this ruleset.

Lineup

It was a high mana game, so I selected Kelya because it has a lot of big mana monsters. The only low mana monster in my team was the Angelic Mandarin and that was a big mistake.

CardStrategy
Kelya Frendul - One of my highest level summoners and my favorite one. She is a good fit for almost every ruleset except Unprotected and Reverse Speed. +1 armor and +1 speed is good defensive support for the water team.
The Kraken - In high mana water games I almost always put it in the front, a big survivor with good damage and speed.
Djinn Oshannus - Still one of the best legendary cards in the game. He was a good choice against enemy's magic team.
Phantom of the Abyss - Best backline magic monster so why I put it in the middle of the team. That was a huge mistake. I need to learn about this.
Angelic Mandarin - Monster of the week. I put it only in my team because of this article. And this was my second big mistake.
Legionnaire Alvar - He is a good defensive and offensive monster, especially in this Melee Mayhem ruleset. He was not a bad choice too.
Cornealus - My other all time favorite backend monster. Very big health with Heal is the best combination in this game.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My enemy was a high-level Alric magic team. My winning chance was very low (under 10%). The main mistake wanted to play with Mandarin. If I changed to Axemaster, the win was almost guaranteed. See the changed chance:

But there was another good solution if I move the Phantom to the end. I didn't know why put it in the middle.

Do you like regular foil ANGELIC MANDARIN? Why or why not?

I am not played too much with him, but it is a good card. In low mana games or in Close Range ruleset (low mana only as I learned) he definitely can get someplace in our team.
