SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MYCELIC INFANTRY - Regular Foil
This post is an entry to the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MYCELIC INFANTRY

Mycelic Infantry are lumbering behemoth fungus. They are the least intelligent of the Mycelia and are put on the front lines as a strong defense. They are incredibly tough but slow.

Overview
Mycelic Infantry is a high mana (8) melee beast. Good, but slow damage and good defense against magic, but generally it is a strong minion.
Stats

| Abilities | Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| SHIELD | 1 | Reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attacks |
| GIANT KILLER | 5 | Does double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana |
| ENRAGE | 8 | Has increased Melee attack and Speed when damaged |
Market prices
Currently, most of the Chaos cards are very cheap (cause the crypto market is in the bear cycle). You can get this card for only 0,12$.

Level 2 has a fantastic, almost 100% ROI rent value. I will buy some level 2 Mycelic Infantry for rent out.

The Battle

| Battle Rulesets | Description | Info |
|---|---|---|
| SUPER SNEAK | All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability. | Choose a summoner that increases/reduces Melee attack or Mylor. Keep a monster with Shield, Retaliate or Thorns in the last position. |
| REVERSE SPEED | Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. | Try to pick monsters with 1 speed because they have the best chance of evading Melee and Ranged attacks. Beware of monsters with Enrage and Last Stand, these abilities increase speed when activated |
Lineup
It was a mid-mana slow game. Reverse Speed is one of my favorite rulesets. Magic earth team is ideal with a lot of slow monsters for this game.
| Card | Strategy |
|---|---|
![]() | Obsidian - Magic is always my favorite attack type. Obsidian has a lot of slow magic monster so it was a good choice. |
![]() | Mycelic Infantry - Monster of the week. Very good fit for this ruleset with his slow speed and good defensive ability. I hoped there will be a lot of melee monsters in the game. |
![]() | Spirit Hoarder - 1-speed magic monster with great support abilities, ideal for this game and a good fit with Obsidian. Triage ability made him the perfect fit for both of the rulesets. |
![]() | Magi of Chaos - One of the best magic natural monsters with very big 4 magic damage. |
![]() | Mycelic Slipspawn - Defense of the game. With taunt and forcefield abilities it can attract enemy damage and can survive a lot of big hits. Good combination with the Hoarder. |
![]() | Djinn Biljka - My first camouflage monster of this game. High magic DPS monster with slow speed. |
![]() | Doctor Blight - My second camouflage monster of this game. With Scavenger ability it could be a very strong monster in the first position. If ever reach it. |
Battle - Replay

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
It was a flawless victory. None of my monsters died in this game. My calculations were 100% correct. I had very big magic attack potential in every round. Look at my winning chances:

Do you like regular foil MYCELIC INFANTRY? Why or why not?
Yes. It is almost a perfect card. It is cheap and has good renting potential. In some rulesets, it is a very good fit. The two main weakness is the speed (in normal games) and the fear of magic damage. But despite that, I will buy some level 2 for rent. Do the same! :)
