SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN - Regular Foil

This post is an entry to the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN
.

Mycelic Slipspawn was first found on the edges of the swamps of Praetoria, in areas where the fetid waters meet with the forests and jungles. It is highly toxic and grows to a substantial size. Death is uncommon for those who touch its fibrous body however, the side effects of its toxins can cause a long list of illnesses and disease, leaving its victims severely debilitated.

When the chaos portal opened and the creeping plague infected the land, the Slipspawn struggled to endure, being completely intolerant to the deadly pandemic. But then Queen Mycelia came, she touched the Slipspawn as she passed it by and it drank from her power, an enduring energy that ran deep and defiantly cast the pestilence of the chaos taint aside. The Slipspawn pulled its roots free from the ground and eagerly danced across the leafy forest floor after her, desperate to follow its saviour and stand by her in the times to come.

Battle RulesetsDescription
EarthquakeNon-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.
Lost LegendariesLegendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

Earthquake info: Using monsters with Flying or Heal is the trick for this ruleset, but if you are unable to choose such monsters, use monsters that have high HP and high damage. Don't keep heal units up front. Shield has a very important role. Using Brighton Bloom as summoner can help in this ruleset. Keep monsters with Flying in last positions when Earthquake has done enough damage to both sides.

Lineup

It was an Earthquake game so the best summoner for this type of game is Brighton Bloom. I tried to select some of my best magic monsters.

CardStrategy
Brighton Bloom - King of the Earthquake games, especially if it is paired with Back to the Basic ruleset. So it was an easy choice.
Flesh Golem - He is a very good monster with heal ability. Most of the time he can survive a lot of damage. One of the best-leveled common monsters.
Magi of Chaos - Solid stats magic monster, can be fit in a lot of teams.
Tortisian Chief - Same as the Magi but even cheaper.
Goblin Psychic - One of the best Chaos Earth common, magic damage with tank heal. I hoped he can hold alive the Golem.
Prismatic Energy - High health magic reflect monster. I filled my enemy played a lot of magic monster but I am wrong.
Mycelic Slipspawn - Monster of the week. I hoped he could absorb some damage.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Unfortunately not, but my enemy was a very high leveled team and my chance was not zero. The enemy has too much damage and I can not survive enough time.

After soma analysis I found a better team for this game:

Chwala could do some extra damage an War Channg has bigger DPS than the Prismatic Energy was. The rest of my team was not a bad choice.

Do you like regular foil Mycelic Slipspawn? Why or why not?

In this card, the gold foil version is much better in almost every aspect. So I recommended the gold foil version of this card. In general, this is a good control monster with good stats. We will see it in the future games for long time :)
