“Of my brood year I alone survived the agoge. Through my offering I took the oath and was bound by blood to serve at my masters side. When the Khan's men came they slew my master and took my sisters as slaves but those that survived swore that night they would not reach the valley road.

By twelve moonlit blades was our honor restored. By twelve blades were fifty heads taken, the rest thrown into the midden crevasse, the skulls returned as a sign. Losing one hand he offers the other, threatening us with fire. As a gift we offer those same twelve blades of which I am one.

We sail the void and cross the rift, biding our time and feigning service but there will be a reckoning. We shall have his head and the heads of all those who dared stir us from our mountain home.”

Overview - Gold Foil

My general opinion about this card found here: https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@siberian12/share-your-battle-weekly-challenge-rh805v
The gold foil version has better speed by default. Level 3 is the real game changer in this case.

Battle RulesetsDescription
Equal OpportunityAll Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
Odd Ones OutOnly Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.

Equal Opportunity info: Speed and HP is the trick here: higher speed will let you target enemy's low HP monster first, opening the way for your slower monsters to deal damage to higher HP enemy monsters. Keep lower HP monsters in front. Monsters who have two attack types should always be preferred.

Odd Ones Out info: There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but having an idea of mana points of a few monsters helps in predicting what your opponent can and cannot use.

Lineup

It was an Opportunity game, so Yodin was a good choice for this game.

CardStrategy
Yodin Zaku - In opportunity games Yodin generally is a good summoner. I try to put it around with some snipe monster, but I made a lot of mistakes.
Tenyii Striker - Monster of the week. He was my main tank, but I didn't remember why, this was my first mistake
Scorch Fiend - Fiend was my first meat shield, but it would be better to change the order with the chicken.
Furious Chicken - Chicken was another shield of my team.
Dwarven Wizard - Good magic monster with snipe and armor, low mana, and good stats for that. He was the only good choice for me.
Countess Sinash - She is a good Yodin monster generally, but in this game, she was too expensive, and opportunity was not an advantage.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Absolutely not. I made a lot of mistakes by myself and the enemy team was too strong. I tried some lineups after the game, but I did not find any of them that would work against this hard team.
Sometimes we fight with too hard enemies, it is part of the game :)

Do you like the gold foil Tenyii Striker? Why or why not?

Gold foil card Striker is just a little better than the regular foil. Not as good as renting, but the 10%+ bonus is always a good deal, in case you win :)
