The young mage slung spell after spell at the five eldritch creatures advancing toward him out of the forest. However, his magics had no effect. The beasts stalked toward him. He staggered backward until his sandals splashed into the shallows of the river flowing behind him. They had him surrounded. The things crouched, ready to leap and tear him to pieces.

Energy surged through the young mage. His fatigue vanished, and his eyes widened in surprise. He moved with an unnatural swiftness as he whirled his arms and cast his spells, and this time, they tore into the eldritch creatures, leaving bloody gashes.

Two of the creatures fell dead. A third charged him, and he blasted it full in the face. It collapsed. But the young mage was unbalanced, and the last two leaped at him. No time to react.

A burst of water magic exploded from somewhere behind him and slammed into the two creatures in succession. They let out a shriek, nightmarish skin smoking. Then they, too, fell and died.

The young mage whirled. Behind him, a slender woman with flawless blue-green skin, pointed ears, and luxurious dark-blue hair stood in the river. The water flowed around her slim waist, and her fingertips traced circles in the current. Her features were elegant and graceful. A magical fae, born of the river, he though in awe. She was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen.

She shot him a crooked grin, winked, and vanished beneath the water's surface.

Market prices

The gold version is not an expensive card too, but the regular foil is almost 20 times cheaper.

Level 4 is renting the best, but it is half as good as the regular foil version.

The Battle

Battle Rulesets	Description	Info
HEAVY HITTERS	All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.	Use a monster with Stun ability. There is a 50% chance that your monster with Stun will be able to stun enemy monsters, but if successful, all your monsters will deal double damage to that stunned opponent.
NOXIOUS FUMES	All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.	Higher HP and cleanse are the best choices. However, there may be some cases where you go for a big offensive attack and wipe out your opponent before the poison becomes a factor.

Lineup

It was a high mana Noxious game, so Nymph was a good fit in this.

Card	Strategy
	Lux Vega - She is my new favorite summoner. I could rent it for a good price. She is usable and useful in almost every game. She is always maxed level summoner so I could use my monster's full potential.
	Djinn Oshannus - At level 3, he is a very good tank too. Phase and speed and Forcefield make him a very good defensive monster.
	Lobstradamus - I only have 1 level of it but it is a good off tank for mana price too.
	Merdaali Guardian - Number one support of the game, with repair and tank heal she is helping the team in every aspect.
	River Nymph - Monster of the week. Good magic damage and ideal skill against poison.
	Magi of Chaos - One of the best natural magic monsters with solid stats.
	Phantom of the Abyss - All time favorite magic backline monster. I only rent a level 1 version, but it is very strong in this level too.

Battle - Replay

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes. It was a 100% percent winning game. With the support, Oshannus survive the whole game and did some decent damage. My backline team did a great job.

Do you like gold foil RIVER NYMPH? Why or why not?

As most of the time in rare cards, the gold foil version is much more expensive and rents half as well. So in this case, I suggest buying a higher-level regular foil card.
