# A Season of Magic - Splinter Stats Season 67 Report Card

I continued to buy and open more Chaos Legion packs and was able to build a solid Bronze deck which is competitive enough to also play in Silver and also gave me enough Collection Power to reach Silver 1 with my own cards only.

Since I started the season at a lower league when I decided not to advance to gold last season, I was able to start really strong compared to the past few seasons in which I would be in a horrible lose streak and had to make up for it the whole season just to get to a decent win rate. This season may be my best yet with the help of my new cards from Chaos Legion. Earth Splinter had been my best one for this season because not only did I pull a Gold Foil Obsidian but I also won one from a Twitter giveaway hosted by @wrestorgonline. This allowed me to combine her and get my first Chaos Legion level 3 summoner allowing me to use silver level cards like my new favorite card Regal Peryton which I pulled 2 Gold Foils and combined giving me a level 3 as well, and more importantly, I no longer have to rent out my level 2 Doctor Blight and rent a level 1 because I can now use him at level 2 with the annoying (for the enemy) poison ability. She's also the only level 3 Rare summoner I have now after I sold my GF Level 3 Qid Yuff sometime before Chaos Legion was released.

Like the previous season, I decided not to advance to Gold this season and instead just divided my extra power helped by delegations I received so that my other accounts can go to silver 3 instead of finishing just in Bronze 1.

I continued to join more and more of the 8-man tournaments and have consistently made it to top 4 and get paid. Due to a change in my sleeping habits, I wasn't able to join much of clove's tournaments and only managed to do one in which i bowed out in round 4 and finished 31st.

Another dry spell in rewards this season but I did manage to get a couple of gold foils, Gargoya Lion and Venari Heatsmith. No Epic or Legendary though. For two consecutive End of Season rewards, I received a Chaos Legion pack after ending the season in Silver 1.

We had a major brawl fight this season in which we were up against a few high ranked guilds including our main guild so in order to put up a decent fight I had to rent some cards and that's why I have higher rentals this season compared to the past 4 or 5. We finished a respectable 5th on that round and I was able to used the rentals and even made top 50 of the leaderboard at some point without meaning to.

Last season I reached 2k SPS but this season I finally decided to unstake some of them to use them to buy more Chaos Legion packs. I will still keep at least 1.2k staked so that I will be able to join some tournaments that require them.

This season is when I finally felt my deck to be strong enough that I need not to rent any cards at all to play the game for both ranked and brawls. The only reason I did rent for brawl this season was like I mentioned we had a major brawl match ups. To be honest the matchmaking for that round seemed off and imbalance as there was a big gap in the levels of buildings among the guilds matched. So yeah it it weren't for that, I would have totally not rented a single card this season as I also bought some of the epic cards I did not have but needed in the 8-man tourneys I enjoyed joining these past 2 seasons. Maybe this current season will be that time I won't have any rentals at all.
