Artwork: Drawing Queen of Crows in my style | Splinterlands Art Contest 288 (Eng/Esp)

Hello dear artists of this great community, I hope you are very well and active with your wonderful artwork. In this opportunity I bring for you a very particular version of Queen of Crows, which I decided to do since I saw the Splinterlands card. Queen of Crows attracts my attention because of its jovial appearance but at the same time dark, dark as its element, so I took those aspects into account to create my own concept of the character.

Hola estimados artistas de esta grandiosa comunidad, esperando se encuentren muy bien y activos con sus maravillosos artes. En esta oportunidad traigo para ustedes una versión muy particular de Queen of Crows, la cual decidí hacer desde que vi la carta de Splinterlands. Queen of Crows llama mucho mi atención por su apariencia jovial pero a su vez sombría, oscura como su elemento, por lo que tome esos aspectos en cuenta para crear mi propio concepto del personaje.

With a graphite pencil I started to draw the pose of my character. I thought about drawing her from the front but after a while I decided to draw her lying down because it's a very striking pose for a female character. I took the main idea and added some particular details to the drawing, I also removed some to give it my particular touch. When I had my sketch ready I used pencil to outline and erase the remaining lines.

Con lápiz de grafito comencé a dibujar la pose de mi personaje. Pensaba hacerla de frente pero después de un rato decidí dibujarla recostada porque es una pose bastante llamativa para un personaje femenino. Tome la idea principal y agregue algunos detalles particulares al dibujo, también quite algunos para darle mi toque particular. Cuando tenía mi boceto listo utilice lapicero para delinear y borrar las líneas restantes.

I loved her hair and her eyes, so I started to paint and when I did I decided to give her a somber look by coloring her eyes completely purple, I also used dark blue for her clothes and brown for her dark skin and some branches and trees around where she and the raven would be.

Me encanto su cabello y sus ojos, así que comencé a pintar y cuando lo hice decidí darle un aspecto sombrío coloreando sus ojos de morado por completo, también utilice azul oscuro para su vestimenta y marrón para su piel oscura y algunas ramas y árboles alrededor donde estaría ella y el cuervo.

For the background I focused on a deep black to make everything more somber, and since I didn't have a brush because it was damaged I used my fingers. Quite an interesting experience, finger painting watercolors is challenging because we can easily overdo it and damage the canvas, so I was meticulous while painting.

Para el fondo me enfoque en un negro profundo para hacer todo más sombrío, y como no tenía pincel porque se me daño utilice los dedos. Una experiencia bastante interesante, pintar con los dedos acuarelas es desafiante porque fácilmente nos podemos pasar y dañar el lienzo, así que fui meticulosa mientras pintaba.

The result was exactly what I was looking for, a traditional art with a somber concept, combined with watercolors of the Queen Of Crows character. I hope you liked it
