Maximize your SPS tokens investments on Splinterlands!!

SPS tokens are an integral part of Splinterlands, with the airdrops and their utility in purchasing in game assets like card packs, exclusive collectibles and most recently the node validators that have become available from Splinterlands.
TLDR - purchasing a node validator licence will allow you to receive an income of SPS from being a validator for SPS network.

In a little less than a months time the node validators will go on presale, with the pricing as follows:

This essentially means that validator licenses can only be bought using the two tokens which are SPS and vouchers. There is currently a limited supply of both tokens, therefore the ensuing rush to buy these licenses should result in an increase in demand and hence price for both tokens.

Prior to this announcement there were a few different ways of investing your SPS tokens, which are as follows: For the purposes of this article we will compare the benefits of staking 13000 SPS in all the different ways and find out which is the most beneficial for us.

1.Staking SPS in game for 25% APR and voucher airdrops (daily)
According to Splintercards staking calculator, the SPS reward for staking 13000 SPS tokens in game will be:

There is also a voucher reward which can be found using Splintercards voucher calculator:

Therefore the daily reward for staking 13K SPS tokens is: 9.12 SPS and 0.729 Vouchers which at todays prices equates to:
9.12 x 0.13 = $1.18
0.729 x 2 = $1.45
for a total of $2.63 in daily reward value.

2.The second way is investing your SPS in tribaldex liquidity pools.

Essentially what we are doing here is splitting the 13000 SPS tokens into 50/50 and staking it in the SPS/DEC Pools. So we will have approx 6500SPS/497000 DEC added to SPS/DEC pool as shown below.

This will give us enough SPS airdrop points to earn:

75.2 SPS tokens per day @ current prices = $9.78. Even though this seems like a higher return than Option 1, remember that 50% of your SPS token have now been converted into DEC. This means that if SPS suddenly goes up 2x in value, you will benefit only from price increase for 50% of your staked SPS, as the other half will be in DEC and may not appreciate as much.
So thats the trade off there, a higher daily reward from Option 2, however you may miss out on SPS price appreciation in the event of a sudden pump as half your stash has now been converted into DEC for the LP.

If you are looking forward to the validator node sale like I am, there is another way to maximise your rewards while keeping your SPS tokens accessible, which I will call Option 3.

3.Stake your 13k tokens SPS in game and thus qualify for SPS and voucher airdrops as in Option 1 but then choose to withdraw 100% of staked tokens This will withdraw 25% (3250 SPS tokens) of your tokens each week, and withdraw 100% in 1 month. By doing this at the end of 1 month towards the validator sale, your SPS tokens will be liquid and accessible whilst also earning you some voucher and airdrop rewards over this period.
They will also appreciate and reflect increased SPS price over this time. For eg - if SPS goes from 0.13 to 0.26 your initial investment of 13000 SPS tokens @0.13c will go from $1690 to $3380 .

So there you go!! We have some options to maximise our SPS investment and speculative strategies prior to the SPS node validator pre sale!! Each option has its advantages and you can choose the right once based on your risk tolerance and preferences.
