# Splinter Stats Season 58 Report Card
Season 58 is a view of my future in Splinterlands. I fought fewer matches that any recent season and while I made it into Diamond III League, once I got there I stopped battling. But thanks to rentals and the SPS airdrop, my rewards this season were some of the best I've ever had. So that's how I'll be playing Splinterlands going forward less battling, more rewards. That's my new strategy, at least until something changes and I have to start battling again.

I ended up right where I wanted to be this season, Diamond III League. Even though my matches won were less than I would have liked to see them, the match rewards were kind of week this season, so I didn't have much motivation to do any more than complete my Daily Quests and play an odd match here and there.

Reward cards were back for the whole season and I definitely got my share of them. The high lights were 1 Legendary, 1 Gold Foil Common and 2 Epic cards. I also got 1673 DEC from Loot Chests and 1477 DEC from ranked matches. All total my rewards from ranked play were 6135 or which 1600 were from potions. Not a bad total amount but a lot less than in other recent seasons.
Here is one of the two sections I'm had hoped to see a lot of new growth. But I actually received a little less in rentals this season that last season. But I am working on a plan to get these numbers up. Instead on listing mostly level 1 cards and waiting for the end of the Season rush to make all my rental income, I'll be combining some cards and making a lot more level 3 and 4 cards that I hope will get rented for more of the season and for a higher price. I'll see if the plan works at the end of this season.
This is the other area I was hoping to see some growth in and I actually did. It was a little less than 1% growth from last seasons total SPS income, but that's ok, since the price of SPS has more than doubled the last few days, the SPS I'm getting is worth a lot more.
Rentals and SPS are my future in Splinterlands. I'll be working
harder smarter this season to try and increase my income from those two areas.
