1. Card Abilities:

Each card in Splinterlands has its own set of abilities, such as sneak, opportunity, Shields, healing abilities, and other skills. Understanding how to use each card's abilities to your advantage can help you maximize its strength. If you dont know an ability you can hold your mouse over the symbol to see what is does.

2. Card Stats:

The stats of a card, such as its attack, health, and speed, are also critical to its performance in battles. Understanding which stats are most important for each type of card can help you build a balanced and effective team. Attack and health are important. But dont forget speed! Speed gives you the opportunity to attack first and with higher speed your monster will dodge more hits!

3. Synergies:

Some cards work better together than others, creating powerful synergies that can give you a major advantage in battles. Understanding which cards work well together and how to create effective combos is key to maximizing your team's potential. Not every monster that is good is good with the Summoner or other Cards you play! The lineup is really important to! In general Tank in the frontline. Maybe a second tank with range behind and some hard damage dealers after it. Protecting your backline with a taunt skill monster or a defensive one in the last place is often a good idea too.
For Example: A Doge ability is better with high speed Monsters.

4. Weaknesses:

Every card also has its own unique weaknesses, such as vulnerability to certain types of attacks or debuffs. Understanding these weaknesses can help you to win more battles.
For example: Monsters with Taunt are weak against monsters with Fury.

5. Countering Opponent Cards:

Finally, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your opponent's cards is also critical to success in Splinterlands. By analyzing their cards and identifying potential weaknesses, you can develop effective strategies to counter their tactics and win battles. Thaink about the cards that your opponent may chose and counter them. Try to see what setup your enemy usually plays and conter it. Especally in clear rulesets you have to think about his card lineup and try to counter it.

Here are some Examples:

_________________________________________________________

If you have a card with high attack but low health, you may want to position it in the 2nd back of your lineup where it's less likely to be attacked. Alternatively, you can pair it with a card that has a taunt ability, forcing opponents to attack the other card while your high-attack card deals damage from a safe distance. This way you can do a lot of damage before you monster ist getting killed. In high mana matchups you can use a secondary tank in second position for more defense.

Cards with the "snipe" ability, such as the Screeching Vulture, are particularly effective at taking out low-health targets with a single attack. Position these cards towards the front of your lineup to deal damage quickly and efficiently. They should have high speed otherwise they could get killed before they can attack.

_________________________________________________________

If there is an anti Mele or an additional armor ruleset, most of you Opponents will chose magic. So just try to use better magic cards or an counter magic deck like reflect or magic shield:
