Ocean Healer - NEW! Holozing FanArt [ENG/ESP]
Hello friends and hello Holozing community! I haven’t written a long blog post for the community in a while, sharing a detailed fan art with the step-by-step process, so today we’re back with a new drawing and a detailed blog covering the details of my latest fan art, where I once again feature a character I love: Ocean Healer. This protector of the waters with blue hair will be the direct inspiration for this drawing. I hope you like the final result. I tried my best to imitate a magazine cover, and for that I used part of the Holozing logo that I got from the web.
Hola amigos y hola comunidad de Holozing, hace rato no escribía un blog largo para la comunidad compartiendo un fan art detallado con el paso a paso, así que hoy regresamos con dibujito nuevo y con blog detallado con los pormenores de mi último fan art donde vuelvo a tener de protagonista un personaje que amo: Ocean Healer. Este protector de las aguas de cabello azul será la inspiración directa para este dibujo. Espero que les guste el resultado final, traté de imitar al máximo una portada de revista y para eso usé un poco del logo de Holozing que obtuve desde la web.

Creo que será mucho más sencillo de ver mi proceso de dibujo si les comparto una rápida animación en formato GIF del paso a paso, desde las primeras líneas del boceto, el line art, el coloreado y hasta el fondo del dibujo. Espero que disfruten esta pequeña animación.
This is how my sketch turned out after cleaning up the leftover lines and some minor corrections. I’m trying to use as few lines as possible in my drawings to give them much more dynamism and depth to the shapes.
Así quedó mi boceto después de limpiar bien las líneas sobrantes y algunas correcciones menores. Estoy tratando de usar la menor cantidad de líneas posibles en mis dibujos para brindarle mucho más dinamismo y profundidad a las formas.
On top of my sketch, I will do the line art. I am doing this entire process in Photoshop. I will try to use pressure to give some variation in line thickness in different areas of the drawing. Then I will simply deactivate the sketch layer and start coloring.
Encima de mi boceto realizaré el line art. Todo este proceso lo estoy haciendo en Photoshop. Trataré de darle, utilizando la presión, algunos valores en cuanto al grueso de la línea en distintas zonas del dibujo. Después simplemente desactivaré la capa de boceto y comenzaré a colorear.
For the coloring, I proceeded as always: first a solid color layer covering all the shapes of my drawing where there would be color. On top of this solid color, I proceeded to add color layers, followed by a shadow layer and a lighting layer. I also used some textures, though minimal. This is the result, clean as always. I used an orange background to increase contrast with the main subject.
Para el coloreado procedí como siempre: primero una capa de color sólido que cubra todas las formas de mi dibujo donde haya color. Encima de este color sólido procedí a agregar capas de color, seguido de una capa de sombras y una de iluminaciones. También utilicé algunas texturas, aunque mínimas. Este es el resultado, como siempre en limpio. Utilicé un fondo naranja para aumentar el contraste con el sujeto principal.
For the background, I simply changed my orange to the same blue as the hair, added some textures and stains with the same brushes, adjusted some tones to create an illusion of depth, and added the Holozing logo at the top. If you allow me, I share my final result again.
Para el fondo, simplemente cambié mi naranja por el mismo azul del cabello, agregué algunas texturas y manchas con los mismos pinceles, ajusté algunos tonos para crear ilusión de profundidad y agregué en la parte superior el logo de Holozing. Si me permiten, les comparto nuevamente mi resultado final.
