Community Contest "David vs. Goliath"!
š Splinterlands Community Contest: David vs. Goliath!

Have you ever looked at your opponent's team and thought...
"There's absolutely no way I'm winning this."
...and then somehow pulled off the impossible?
This week's contest is all about celebrating those incredible moments where the underdog comes out on top.
Whether it was superior strategy, perfectly predicting your opponent, taking advantage of rulesets, or simply building the better composition, we want to see the battles where the little guy defeats the giant.
āļø The Challenge
Share a battle where a noticeably weaker or lower-level team defeats what appears to be a much stronger opponent.
This could include things like:
- A Silver-level team defeating a legitimate Diamond or Champion-level lineup.
- A budget deck taking down a fully maxed collection.
- A low-damage team completely shutting down an offensive powerhouse through clever strategy.
- Outsmarting one of Splinterlands' well-known leaderboard players.
- Finding the perfect counter to a much stronger opponent.
Lucky RNG is always fun...
But we're especially looking for battles where your planning, positioning, summoner choice, and overall strategy clearly made the difference.
š Bonus Twist
Even the strongest players lose sometimes.
If you're one of the veterans with a maxed deck, you're also welcome to enter by sharing a battle where you were the Goliath... and lost.
Show us the replay where a smaller account completely outplayed you.
Sometimes those losses teach us the most.
ā Entry Rules
Submit one Splinterlands battle.
Include the battle link.
Explain:
- Why you chose this battle.
- Why your opponent appeared much stronger (or why you were the stronger player if submitting a loss).
- What strategy allowed the underdog to win.
- What you learned from the battle.
Screenshots are encouraged.
Posts should be your own original work.
Important
The opponent must appear to be using a legitimate competitive team.
Examples that do not qualify:
- Max summoner with only one or two max monsters and the rest level 1 cards.
- Obvious surrender teams.
- Clearly unfinished or intentionally weak lineups.
We're looking for real competitive victories against respectable opponents.
š Judging Criteria
We'll be looking at things like:
- How impressive the upset was.
- The quality of the opponent's lineup.
- Strategic decision making.
- Battle analysis.
- Overall presentation of your post.
- Entertainment value.
A close tactical victory can be just as impressive as a complete domination if the strategy behind it is well explained.

š¬ Final Thoughts
Splinterlands isn't always about having the biggest collection.
Sometimes preparation beats power.
Sometimes knowledge beats card level.
Sometimes predicting your opponent is worth more than having another legendary.
This contest is about celebrating those moments when skill overcomes strength.
So dig through your battle history, find that incredible upset, and show the community that even Goliath can fall.
Good luck everyone, and I can't wait to see your biggest underdog victories!
How will the posting look like? Should I post attaching the contest link as well?
You can! As long as we can navigate to your entry easily then you can do whatever you would like :)

Got this unexpected win, not because of any strategic decision, but because of the active ruleset. Had it been any other ruleset, I would have lost the match when played with the same lineup.

Found a pretty good one to share, thanks again for using my contest idea too!
