Splinterlands Fan Art - Baby Skyspire Leopard

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another Splinterlands fan art post. For this fan art, I have drawn a Baby Skyspire Leopard, a Rare Monster from the Rewards(Rebellion) card set. This is an Art entry of the weekly contest in Splinterlands. If you would like to participate, here is the link - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 307! in Splinterlands. And here is the card reference image of Skyspire Leopard.

Lore: Unlike most types of leopards, those of the Skyspire Mountains hunt in packs. They stalk their prey for hours, concealed upon the snow-laden slopes by their coats, and wait for the perfect moment to strike. When they do, they attack with savage, coordinated precision.
If you spot one, common sense dictates you should keep your eyes on it. But there’s likely a reason it revealed itself: the others are behind you, and they’re moving in for the kill.
In this fan art, the Skyspire Leopard is reimagined in its most endearing form. The usually intimidating features are softened, with wide, curious eyes and tiny, playful paws that capture the pure innocence of a baby leopard. The once fearsome predator is now an adorable cub. Through this depiction, this will show that even the fiercest beings have a tender, lovable side.
Here are the materials that I used to create this fan art.
- Android Tablet
- Sketchbook for Mobile
Here are the detailed step-by-step procedures for creating this fan art:
- Start with Line Art:
Begin by creating a rough sketch of the character. Use clean, smooth lines to define the shape and features.

Apply Bluish Gray Flat Colors:
Fill in the entire drawing with flat bluish gray colors. This will serve as the base for your artwork and give it the foundation.Add Face Details
Create a new layer and add detailed features to the monster’s face. Ensure these elements are sharp and expressive. Add details on the eyes, nose, and whiskers.

Use Bluish Gray Color for Line Art:
Replace the standard black line art with a bluish gray hue. This color will match the flat color of the artwork and will add intensity to it.Add Bluish Patterns on Fur:
Introduce bluish patterns on the monster’s fur to highlight the character's distinct features.

- Create Background Elements:
For the background, use a dark blue with a shade of gray. Add a shadow on the ground beneath the monster to anchor the character to the scene and give it a sense of weight. - Add snow and lightning patterns to the background to emphasize that this monster still possesses its power.
