Splinterlands Fan Art - Fierce Countess Sinash

brawl.png

Good day, everyone! I'm back to doing Splinterlands fan art. It's been a very busy week for me and this fan art helped me relieve some stress. For this fan art, I drew COUNTESS SINASH, from the Fire Element. Countess Sinash is a Legendary card and I wanted to draw this card that will match its fierce personality. If you would also like to participate, check Splinterlands' post here - here.

Here is the card reference image of COUNTESS SINASH in Splinterlands.

Sinash was born a noble of house Beliathorn. Her mother, the countess, was brought up used to the lifestyle and was bitten by a vampire in her 30s. Her father had not a penny to his name but married into the family through charisma and charm. He was never turned into a vampire but Sinash always suspected something odd about him. A man who started with nothing wound up incredibly wealthy. It’s rare to see a commoner work their way to fit in with the rich but he somehow pulled it off...

Here are the materials that I used to create this fan art.

  • Android Tablet
  • Clip Studio Paint
  • Poseit

While looking for some pose reference, I encountered this application that let's you create poses using a 3D mannequin. I played it a little bit and come up with the pose below. After that, I saved the post as an image and uploaded it to Clip Studio Paint. From the Clip Studio Paint, I started on creating my fan art, starting from the line art up to rendering. Below are the step by step image of my work.

I like playing with the width of the line art and this line art of the hand raising the fire ball really caught my attention.

On the left is the version with plain gray color as the background. And on the right used the enlarged image of the fireball as the background.

Using Poseit helped me a lot in figuring out the reference of this fan art, however, I also spent much time tweaking every part of the mannequin.

What I really enjoyed in creating this fan art was part wherein I am recreating the ball of fire and the hand controlling. I enjoyed making those patterns and line art and also got amazed when I removed the line art that I first drew as a guide for the fireball. It looked more realistic than the one with line art. For the background, I tried several approaches like a plain color, with blurred cinders, and red and black gradient. I also tried making the fire ball as the back ground. In the end, I used my previous work, lowered its opacity and align it with my work. Below is the final output of my fan art and I hope that I gave justice to Countess Sinash fierce image.

I am also surprised that this 3D model is a good reference material. 👌

Clip Studio 3D models are the best! 😁 The background is simple and effective! 😌 I like the molten fire ball and the hand. Good job!

Oh wow, what a great output! Now I’m kinda curious of the app you used to generate those poses. 😅
Seems fun to play with it!

Yun oh! Ang astig boss, I really like how Foreshortening is being portray in this art piece. May question lang ako about sa 3d na model, pwede mo rin ba i-set yung light kahit saan? Feel ko mas di kana mahihirapan sa lighting kung nasa bandang kamay yun light kasi may bolang umiilaw, doon palang sa 3d model. Great job boss keep it up!
