Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another blog post about Splinterlands. In this post, we will focus on Quora Towershead and how to overcome the Bronze League when facing Gladius cards, especially Quora Towershead. As a beginner, one might be shocked when a wild Quora Towershead appears in battle and systematically eliminates your lineup, one by one. So, if this has piqued your attention, please continue reading below.

Who is Quora Towershead?

Quora Towershead is an Epic Earth card from the Gladiator/Gladius Card set. Within the Bronze League, Level 2 stands as the highest attainable level for this card's playability. At this stage, Quora Towershead showcases the impressive Bloodlust and Heal abilities.

The "Bloodlust" ability gives this unit with an advantage. Every time Quora Towershead defeated an enemy, it gains a substantial boost of +1 to all its stats, enhancing its overall prowess on the battlefield.

In addition, the "Heal" ability adds a strategic layer to Quora Towershead's capabilities. This ability enables the card to restore a third of its maximum health each round, ensuring its resilience and prolonged effectiveness during battles.

Understanding these abilities is crucial for devising effective strategies when encountering Quora Towershead on the battlefield.

What are Gladiator Cards and Where to get them?

As a beginner, you might have found yourself pondering the question, "Where can I buy or rent those elusive Gladiator cards?" Well, the gateway to acquiring Gladiator cards lies in the exclusive Gladius Case. These sought-after cards can only be obtained through the purchase of a Gladius Case, and you'll find these cases available within the Guild Store.

However, gaining access to the Guild Store isn't as straightforward as a mere visit. The key lies in active Guild participation. Merits, the currency required for securing Gladius Cases, can only be earned by engaging in Guild Brawls. Each Gladius Case comes with a price tag of 2,000 merits, making it imperative for players to actively contribute to their Guild's success in battles to accumulate this valuable currency.

In essence, the first crucial step in acquiring Gladiator cards is to be part of an active Guild with access to the Guild Store. So, if you're aspiring to bolster your card collection with these exclusive assets, the journey begins with finding and actively participating in a Guild that can grant you entry into the realm of Gladius Cases. Your Guild's performance in Guild Brawls becomes the key to unlocking the doors to the coveted Gladiator cards.

Okay, I now have a Quora Towershead. Why can't I use this card in Ranked matches?

To use Gladiator cards in battle, you should use a summoner that has the 'Conscript' ability. This capability enables the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle. For the Earth and Dragon Elements, we have Lobb Lowland and Helios Matriarch, both possessing this ability.

Additionally, you can summon one Gladiator card if one of the Rulesets is 'Are You Not Entertained?'.

Let's go back to our discussion on how to beat this card and other Gladiator Cards to move out of Bronze League and progress to the Silver League. As a beginner, this task might seem like a huge feat, but it is still achievable.

Remember that in Bronze League, Quora Towershead possesses the Bloodlust and Heal abilities. So, we need to think of ways to cancel or counter these abilities. Bloodlust is a powerful ability that grants the user immense attack power when several enemies have already been defeated. However, there is an ability that can remove those accumulated buffs from Quora Towershead or any Gladiator Card (note: All Gladiator Cards have the Bloodlust ability). This ability is the 'Dispel' ability, which clears all positive status effects on that enemy.

In Bronze League, Venari Spellsmith is the only card that has the Dispel ability, and fortunately, you can buy or rent this from the shop.

Besides using the Dispel ability, you can also utilize a monster with Affliction, preventing monsters from being healed. In Bronze League, you can use either Rush Townsend or Doctor Blight, or both, to inflict Affliction on Quora Towershead.

If in case you do not have the above monsters, you can try the line up below to defeat a line up with Quora Towershead.

Summoner: Obsidian - This summoner adds +1 Magic attack to allied monsters
Position 1: Hill Giant - This will serve as your tank.
Position 2: Fungus Fiend - A filler card to delay damage to be inflicted to your attackers.
Position 3: Lurking Puffer - This card has no attack, but it only needs 2 mana to summon and will have +1 Magic attack from Moxian Rebel's Weapon Trainer ability.
Position 4: Moxian Rebel - This card will give 1 Magic Attack to adjacent monster that has no attack.
Position 5: Queen Mycelia - This card will give +2 armor to all allied units.

The strategy on this line up is to over power Quora Towershead with Magic attack.

Quora is very tough to beat and you show here a nice strategy to do so. I like to use cards with double strike capabilities and bloodlust against her. Nice post!
