She does not lead through fear or force. She asks, and the wild chooses to stand beside her.
A wild elf, a guardian of the Northwest Lowlands, and the voice through which the forest rises to defend itself: that is Elowen Sylphie.
Lore
The wolf pup was near death when Elowen Sylphie found it. It lay in a hollow beneath a fallen oak, ribs jutting, too weak to growl. She knelt beside it and stroked its matted fur, speaking in a hushed, soothing tone as she reached out with her mind and her heart using a sense for which she had no name.
The pup's hackles lowered. Its breathing slowed. She carried it home to Sylvaras, where she nursed it back to health and released it into the forest.
Word spread of the wild elf girl who spoke to animals and walked among them. Hawks landed on her shoulder. Deer grazed undisturbed as she passed close enough to stroke their flanks. A mountain lion once came to her with a wound on its paw, and it sat docile while she cleaned and wrapped the torn flesh.
Elowen would wander deeper into the Northwest Lowlands than most dared, seeking groves where trees grew so thick the sunlight never reached the ground. She would sit for hours in these places, reaching out with that nameless sense until she felt the pulse of the forest and the lifeforce of every creature within it.
The owlkin elder Voss had heard the stories. Everyone in Sylvaras had. He met her by accident while tracking a deer he'd wounded, following the trail of its blood through the underbrush until he stumbled into a clearing and found a wild elf kneeling beside the fallen buck. The gash along its ribs had already been cleaned and dressed. A fox sat nearby, watching him with calm eyes.
Voss opened his beak to speak, but the elf cut him off without looking up.
âHe was afraid he'd never see his daughter again.â
The deer's dark eyes met his. Voss shifted his weight. âI, uhâŠâ He cleared his throat and tugged at his feathers. âWell,â he said at last. âI suppose I'm a vegetarian now.â
The wild elf laughed, and Voss knelt beside her to help tend to the deer.
They met often in the days that followed. Voss spoke of the fire he held in his talons and the years it took to master it. Elowen told him secrets the forest had shared with her, of places even the oldest owlkin had never seen. Voss introduced her to Kael, Sira, and others of his parliament. Around campfires and on expeditions into the woods surrounding Sylvaras, Elowen came to know them. Mora's quiet intensity. Nessa's restless energy. Ryn's watchful silence. Brynn's easy laugh and the weight she carried beneath it.
They shared Elowen's fierce love for the forest and defended its borders season after season. She may have been a wild elf and they wood owlkin, but they became family all the same.
When Mahkah Hemlig began tearing the Broken Lands apart, refugees poured into Sylvaras with tales of uprooted forests and creatures fleeing in droves. Elowen and her owlkin brothers and sisters marched to stop her.
But they needed more.
Elowen called out with the bond she'd carried since childhood. She showed the animals of the forest what Mahkah was doing. The ruin spreading across the land. The homes destroyed. The creatures crushed beneath falling stone and uprooted trees.
Wolves padded from the shadows. Elk emerged from the mist, antlers branching like crowns. Hawks circled overhead. Bears rumbled from caves. Badgers, foxes, boars, wildcats, and more. The forest answered and kept answering.
They march across the Broken Lands now, wood owlkin and beasts led by a wild elf. In battle, Elowen fights alongside her allies, but her true weapon is the bond she shares with the creatures at her side. Fangs and claws harry the flanks. Beaks and talons dive from above. Antlers and tusks crash into enemy lines. Elowen and her owlkin follow close behind.
She never sends them to slaughter. She feels their fear, their exhaustion, their pain. She mourns each one that falls.
Mahkah Hemlig commands the earth itself, ripping stone and root apart, taking what she wants to find what she seeks. Elowen Sylphie doesn't take. She asks, and the forest answers.

- For every 25 cards received in one Conflict, you are guaranteed 1 Gold Foil version.
- If you use alchemy potions to boost all of your chances, it will be reduced to:

The Fifth Conflict concludes on Saturday, December 27, and the Conflicts will fall silentâbriefly.

Question though: Lore definitely sounds like sheâs an Elf, but her Card says sheâs a Human?
It would be funny if they added something to her lore that said she is really an elf but Elowen will be considered a human because we don't want BF legendary elves to exist and inflate the wood supply.

Great strategic archon with abilities that synergize like trample and charge together. Build your own Venka! Will be held in check by Tofu, but ought to be a powerhouse in the new Modern once Tofu rotates.
