BRAWLS OF STEEL | SEASON 97
Welcome back #splinterlands fans! star⭐ (@star-shroud) and moros👑 (@m0r0s), here again with the next edition of the ⚔️ Brawls of Steel | End of Season Report ⚔️
As people have been pointing out lately, the current "guild ranking" system reported in-game is kind of... well, meh. Like, it's something I guess, but also, it's kind of somewhat meaningless too, right? At the same time, these same folks have been pointing out that BRAWL RANKINGS better reflect a guild's overall skill, depth and versatility. Despite this, the game doesn't report brawl rankings 🤷♂️ But hey don't stress though, because we've got you covered! As usual, moros scraped last season's brawl data from the #hive blockchain and it's all here below.
Read on to find out who were the best of the best in Tier 3 and Tier 2 brawls!
SEASON 97
Season 97 represented another successful step forward. More guilds than ever are participating in brawls and---even more importantly---more guilds than ever are leveling up to higher tiers! That is exactly what we want to see.
Not only that, but the #sps brawl rewards proposal was put forward and it's going to pass 🎉🎉🎉 The brawl ecosystem looks like it will finally have the respect (and the rewards) that it deserves!
Tier 3 Brawls - Top Guilds
This season saw a bit of an earthquake in Tier 3. For the first time in ... hmm, as long as anyone we know can remember ... the 1st place spot was not taken by SUMMONER'S TRIBE or THE GUILD OF NEOXIAN. Instead, IMMORTAL GODS took the top spot with 921 points. LEGENDARY DRAGONS came in a solid 2nd place with 870 points. SUMMONER'S TRIBE, THE GUILD OF NEOXIAN and SHIELD OF GLORY came in 3rd, 4th and 5th, respectively.
Tier 3 Brawls - Top Players by Fray
Not only did SUMMONER'S TRIBE and THE GUILD OF NEOXIAN fail to take the top spot overall, they also failed to exert their typical dominance over each fray individually. Instead, the top players came from a mix of guilds this time, including three from my own: @nizzyz in Fray 4 (Regular Foil/Silver/Wild), @ducecrypto in Fray 16 (Gold Foil/Silver/Modern) and @azircon in Fray 18 (Gold Foil/Gold/Modern) 🎉🎉🎉
Watch here for a fun brawl battle in which @ducecrypto from SHIELD OF GLORY summons a gold foil FORGOTTEN ONE to go head-to-head with @zawarrior from THE GUILD OF NEOXIAN and their gold foil KRALUS. Let's just say, never sleep on forgotten one or that RETALIATE ability!
Based on points-per-battle (PPB) ratio, @raynie (23-1) from IMMORTAL GODS took home the top overall individual spot in Tier 3 with a PPB ratio of 2.87 in Fray 7 (Regular Foil/Gold/Wild).
Tier 2 Brawls - Top Guilds
Tier 2 was also rocking yet again. IMMORTAL GODS 4 took 1st place this time, with 850 points. LEGENDARY WIZARDS came in an incredibly close 2nd place, with 846 points. DEATH HAMSTERISM, PEAKMONSTERS[CHAMPS] and EARNEST SAMURAI JPN took 3rd, 4th and 5th place, respectively.
Tier 2 Brawls - Top Players by Fray
There were also some truly impressive performances in Tier 2. These included THREE PLAYERS with perfect PPB ratios of 3.0. In other words, they did not lose a single match throughout all three brawl cycles 🤯 These players were 1) Splinterfest fan favorite @schnapoon (24-0) in Fray 7 (Regular Foil/Silver/Wild), 2) @danderlion (26-0) in Fray 8 (Regular Foil/Silver/Wild) and @jaystoh (24-0) in Fray 13 (Gold Foil/Bronze/Wild).
Conclusion
That's it on another successful season of brawls! Once the SPS brawl proposal goes through, watch out! The brawl ecosystem is lit and ready to explode 🔥

Excellent report as always, thanks for compiling all these super important data to appreciate the performance of the players in the Brawl battles, I am also very happy for the new rewards that will soon be added to these battles, one more reason to keep improving and competing.

What about doing a massive card opening where ppl can bid live with pre bought vouchers that equal x amount of a NFT that will be given to everyone based on staked sps with a minimum of 200 and max of 500 so the huge players do not get much of a advantage compared to the sps disparity and also the bottom 25% of players get double and the higest players lose packs until there gone. That helps new players get DEC and started without sturating the card market , they will spend the dec and it will goto the DAO.
thats an interesting idea. im not sure im following the dynamics of the idea exactly, but i am always flor getting new players onboarded and invested in the community!
Massive amount of accounts with nfty managing it all and sending the profits afte the splits. We will probably pay pay league and if u are just playing accounts will need to be played up to at least gold 1-champion were targeting high rewards and want to scale it as much as possible to maek as much money as possible fast as well as level up many guilds to sell them with all the accounts which are owned by the guild and have a bunch of gladious cards which will be valued by us and have a price as well as value certain level guilds etc
