Ever since the banning of bots in the modern league and the shifting of the reward system into SPS stake-based, I've found renewed interest in grinding the game. I've found out that the silver league is my safe space, currently. Renting decks is not too costly and I consistently fund it with the revenue that I get from doing Hive blog posts.

Running through all 50 energy can net me around 50 SPS on the silver league. I can say that this is not the maximum potential that I can get since my battle win rate has dropped since modern became a human-only league. But nonetheless, I am happy with what I am currently gaining and the fact that I can play and slowly stack up assets while having zero upfront cost.

What I usually do is rent a cheap deck which costs around 300 to 400 DEC per day and play for it within two days. After that, I also let my energy recharge to its maximum capacity before playing again. Having lesser card collection is a part of the reason why I am not winning as high especially when I battle stronger opponents utilizing high-end cards like Byzantine Kitty or Yodin Zaku. But I want to familiarize myself more on the strategies that utilize newer cards as Untamed will inevitably leave modern sometime next year.

My daily reward chests are just a bonus on top of the SPS I get from battles. But from time to time, I do get great pulls like Epics or gold foil cards. I'm yet to have all of my soulbound cards completely levelled up for the silver league but I'm slowly doing it one step at a time.

I also make it a point to participate in my guild's guild brawls whenever possible. This not only gives a decent SPS reward, it adds more to my collection of gladiator cards which I find to be useful in some rule sets. And even though I have opened quite a few of them now, I still failed to get my second copy of Quora Towershead.

Even though I am still struggling in the new modern league environment, I find it fresh and entertaining than in the past where bot accounts were rampant and SPS rewards were a fraction of what it is now. Looking forward to my future battles.
