Splinterlands has released a new Hive post about the finer details of the changes that will come after this current ranked season. You can check out the official post here. Starting next season, cards will no longer be restricted by the league levels and you can basically play max level cards in the bronze league. It's good news for me because I can finally say goodbye to being stuck in modern bronze hell. And if for some unfortunate reason I still terribly lose and get stuck in bronze, then I might consider quitting the game. 😅

And just with any new changes to the game, this brings about the inner FOMO demon inside the players. It's also fun and exciting to speculate what opportunities will follow this significant shift in ranked play. I have a few key pieces that I would like to acquire before the overhaul, but with very limited budget, it just isn't possible. But here are a few of what I bought and predict will spike in value in the coming days and weeks.

Summoners

It would have been nice if I had the complete set of Chaos Legion rare summoners at max level, but I've only managed to collect three, Obsidian, General Sloan, and Thaddius. They might not be the most ideal, but given their very low bulk price, I feel like it's a great value for me. And I believe the first few cards to spike in price would be summoners. Having at least three max summoners in different splinters gives me a good headstart in the new ranked play.

Promo Cards

This is on my top priority list to buy whenever I have the opportunity. Promo cards are limited in quantity and are not available in any pack. The promo cards are extremely useful in various tactics but two in particular is highly desired, Doctor Blight and Zyriel. Doctor Blight is an auto include for me whenever possible since the affliction really destroys the enemy tanks. Zyriel has also proven her worth as a viable damage dealer as well as a backline tank with her Life Leech ability. These two are still very expensive despite their all-time lows which are a testament to their significance in the meta.

Splinter Fiends

Finally, we have the fiends. If I was a betting man and I have the capital, I would go all in on these cute monsters. (Not financial advice. 😆) What makes them powerful is the abilities they bring for zero mana cost. What I especially favor are Corpse Fiend's Silence and Soul Fiend's Swiftness. Having their abilities accessible at any league would surely be a huge factor in winning a match.

We're now entering a new milestone in the evolution of Splinterlands. I hope you guys are as excited as I am with finally be able to play cards at their full potential instead of being stuck to bronze, silver, or gold levels.
