#2 Sola Ranjell/ Splinterlands Contest (ENG/ DE)

Good morning dear community,

Well, how are you today?
How the days fly by or does it just seem to me that time is running?

At the weekend was still the big panic because of a possible bank run and this morning it had apparently calmed down again. At least for the next few months, I guess. In my opinion, we are still far from being safe. Since the SBF debacle, it runs rather sluggishly. Whether the BTC falls again a little deeper? Hm, I would then certainly buy a little bit more. 🙃

But now enough, to distract me from this topic on the weekend something I have watched quite easy going animes. Yes, turn off the head and some time to not think is also great. Especially when there is a lot going on in normal everyday life.

Inspired by this, I thought, why not a kind of character drawing training in an anime style. I do that way too rarely.
So today I combine my drawing-training and drawing-diary even with the Splinterlands Art Contest.

Why? Well, when it comes to competitions, I give more passion in and try harder to be good. So it motivates me more to draw for something like that. Because the constructive criticism of the other artists can come. There you already give your best, at least I do.

Since I am very unpracticed in anime it really took 13 hours in total. Oh my god how much I had corrected again, because I didn't like it after all. I could correct and change even more, but I leave it at that. Otherwise I will never be finished.

I also managed to make such a "Timeloop", but the file was too big, so I had to shorten and compress it, because otherwise I could not insert the gif file.

Na, wie gehts euch heute?
Wie die Tage verfliegen oder kommt es mir nur so vor, als würde die Zeit rennen?

Am Wochenende war noch die grosse Panik wegen einem eventuellen Banken-Run und heute früh hatte es sich scheinbar wieder beruhigt. Zumindest für die nächsten paar Monate schätze ich mal. Sicher sind wir meiner Meinung nach noch lange nicht. Seitdem SBF Debakel läuft es ja eher schleppend. Ob der BTC noch mal etwas tiefer fällt? Hm, ich würde dann sicherlich ein bisl was nachkaufen. 🙃

Aber nun genug, um mich von dieser Thematik am Wochenende etwas abzulenken habe ich mir ganz banal Animes angeschaut. Ja, kopf abstellen und mal nicht nachdenken ist auch toll. Grad wenn viel los ist im normalen Alltag.

Davon inspiriert, dachte ich mir, warum nicht mal ein kleines Zeichen Training im Anime Stil. Das mache ich viel zu selten.
Daher kombiniere ich mein Zeichen Training und Zeichen-Tagebuch heute sogar noch mit dem Splinterlands Art Wettbewerb.

Warum? Naja, wenn es um Wettbewerbe geht, gebe ich mir mehr Mühe. Daher motiviert es mich mehr für sowas zu zeichnen. Da die konstruktive Kritik der anderen Künstler ja kommen kann. Da gibt man schon sein bestes, zumindest ich.

Da ich sehr ungeübt bin in Animes hat es wirklich 13 Stunden insgesamt gedauert. Oh mein Gott wie viel ich wieder korrigiert hatte, da es mir doch nicht gefiel. Ich könnte auch noch weiter korrigieren und verändern, doch belasse ich es dabei. Sonst werde ich nie fertig.

Ich habe es auch geschafft so einen "Timeloop" zu machen, doch war die Datei zu gross, daher musste ich es kürzen und komprimieren, denn sonst hätte ich die Gif Datei nicht einfügen können.

I had the idea to change Sola a little bit. So that her crown looks like two horns. On the original picture the eyes and the facial features already look anime-like. So I tried to refine this style.

Ich hatte die Idee, Sola etwas abzuändern. So das ihre Krone wie zwei Hörner aussehen. Auf dem original Bild sehen die Augen und die Gesichtszüge Anime Ähnlich schon aus. Daher habe ich versucht diesen Stil zu verfeinern.

After a serious looking facial expression, I decided to change and drew a more cheerful one.

Nach einem ernsthaft aussehenden Gesichtsausdruck entschied ich mich um und zeichnete einen eher fröhlichen.

I put the focus on thicker lines. Although I also worked with other pindles, pens and spray tools.

Ich legte den Fokus auf dickere Linien. Obgleich ich auch mit anderen Pindeln, Stiften und Sprüh-Tools gearbeitet habe.

Of course, you can not miss the golden scepter, which carries this bluish crystal.

Natürlich darf das goldene Zepter nicht fehlen, welches diesen bläulichen Kristall in sich trägt.

To fill the larger areas, I use the filling tool.

Zum ausfüllen der größeren Flächen nutze ich das Füll Werkzeug.

Since Solar's hair was originally drawn in white, black and gray tones and it is a feature of this character, I kept the style.

Da die Haare von Solar in weiss, schwarz und grau Tönen original gezeichnet wurde und es ein Merkmal dieses Charakters ist, behielt ich den Stil bei.

Since I had otherwise rather emphasized female features in my previous drawing, I thought it would be nice if one does not put the boobies or the curves of a woman in the focus. Therefore, I chose as a clothing style a baggy one. But the colors I kept.

Da ich sonst eher weibliche Züge betont hatte in meiner vorherigen Zeichnung, dachte ich mir, es wäre doch schön, wenn man einmal nicht die Brust oder die Kurven einer Frau in den Fokus legt. Daher wählte ich als Kleidungsstil was lockeres. Doch die Farben behielt ich bei.

Before I forget, to translate 1-1 my german native I used deepl.com. After I edited and corrected some parts because deepl.com couldn't translate all words perfectly. Just wanted to make this clear too. Because to translate by my own 1-1 would take long with grammar mistakes.
