#27 Flame Monkey - Splinterlands Art Contest (ENG/ DE)

Hello dear 👽 community,

I wish you all a wonderful start of the week. Finally, a creative phase has caught me again, so that I no longer screw up every sketch immediately, to put it more brutally into words.

It was really fun and joy to draw the "Flame Monkey" on my way. A little bit I had thought of Dragonball, no idea why this super cute Flame Monkey reminds me of it. But I tried to let this thought flow into my digital drawing, which is why my monkey wears something monk-like. Well, at least it should represent something like an abstract fictional monk-like robe. 😜😉😅

But what do you say? I always look forward to your constructive opinions.

Einen wunderschönen Wochenanfang wünsche ich euch allen. Endlich hat mich eine kreative Phase wieder erwischt, so dass ich nicht mehr jede Skizze gleich verkacke, um es mal brachialer auszudrücken.

Es hat richtig Spass und Freude gemacht den "Flame Monkey" auf meine Art und Weise zu zeichnen. Ein wenig hatte ich an Dragonball dabei gedacht, keine Ahnung warum mich dieser super süße Flame Monkey daran erinnert. Doch habe ich versucht diesen Gedanken mit in meine Zeichnung einfließen zu lassen, weshalb mein Äffchen etwas mönchhaftes trägt. Naja, zumindest soll es sowas wie eine abstrakte fiktive mönchhafte Kutte repräsentieren. 😜😉😅

Doch was sagt ihr? Ich freue mich immer auf eure konstruktive Meinung.

I like it to have a almost clean sketch, normally I make breaks aftwr sketching...for minimum 1 day. So its great to have the basic idea as clean as possible for next creative steps.

Ich mag es, eine fast saubere Skizze zu haben, normalerweise mache ich nach dem Skizzieren Pausen...für mindestens 1 Tag. Es ist also toll, die Grundidee für die nächsten kreativen Schritte so sauber wie möglich zu haben.

Next day I continued with a kind of shadowing. Normally I just draw, there is not a really step by step masterplan in my mind, but coloring and some fine tuning is always one of the next steps.

Am nächsten Tag habe ich mit einer Art Schattierung weitergemacht. Normalerweise zeichne ich einfach, es gibt keinen wirklichen Schritt-für-Schritt-Masterplan in meinem Kopf, aber das Kolorieren und einige Feinabstimmungen sind immer einer der nächsten Schritte.

Also, bevor ich es vergesse, ich möchte den Hintergrund schwarz haben. Ich liebe schwarze Hintergründe.

To translate 1-1 my german native I used deepl.com. After I edited and corrected some parts because deepl.com couldn't translate all slang words perfectly. Just wanted to make this clear too.
