@szpb

From the first day of the 66th season, i felt it's worse than before.

While i was in silver III my Ratio was fair enough, i wouldn't complain about that, but in the last two days i went back to Bronze I, with my own cards and there was hard to complete the daily quests.

I was renting a bulk from @tarazkp, but 2 days before the season ended i told them i will not need the cards furthermore, since its not profitable for me at all. I have to say it was not profitable despite i rented the cards for quite a fair price, although the rental price overall decreased, the rewards do not compensate.

Sadly i decided to stop playing Splinterlands for a while since the whole economy around the game is currently falling apart, thanks for the huge amount of bot accounts, and the modifications on the reward system made for them. I understand the enormous bot accounts helped for the hype, but the active players left as the hype passed, but the bots stayed. Unless it's solved i guess this game is dying. With the current circumstances this is not an attractive game for anyone about to start it as a new player. I truly hope more and more player 'll stop to play, until this bot problem solved, or let them bury the whole project...

Nowadays the rewards do not even compensate the time (often hours) we spend on completing the daily quests.

This is very sad to read as a relatively old Splinterlands player. I am playing Splinterlands since 2018.12.30. By the way, recently the developers announced some changes to the reward system. Maybe they make the game fair again to everyone.

Unless it's solved i guess this game is dying.

There were 79 080 card sales ($120 034 USD) in the previous 24 hours. This is very far from dying.

I also do not like the current state of things around Splinterlands, but I think that you are burying the game too early.

Good luck and have fun.

Well the card sales are a fraction of that it used be. I might burry it too early, but the decaying is senseable…

Hey mate - you could always get them at a cheaper price too, if yousuggest. I didn't make that figure for the set I delegated, as I have no idea what is good or bad for the pricing. However, it also depends what you want out of the game.

@xplosive mentioned burying it too soon and I agree. This dip was expected as so many cards flood the market, but it isn't the first time. remember that this is also crypto, so it is a supply and demand factor too, where there are many things going on, as well as things to come all over the industry. For me, I look long on everything, so it is more than just daily earnings or earning from the game - there is a long term "expectation" too, but they often go unmet.

It was still a fair price regarding the market prices, therefor i did not want to ask more fromyou, You already helped a lot, thanks for that! :)

My mainproblem is the devs let the botters increase the active player count to drive the hype further, but the consequencies arr worst than the benefits, the cards are flopding the market because they choose the numbers based on active player count, back there, but the real player count was far beyond.

I feel angry cause this is not the first game i rly enjoyed, but the botters ruined it…

Well i made bad decisions too regarding my card collection, but with my low investment value it was the path i chose, i csn live with this part.

I hope Splinterlands can shine in the future, but i’m just a bit disappointed right now.

The bot accounts absorb a lot of the cards in various ways, but the recent changes means that they have more limited potential, meaning they have to hold cards differently than before. The effects will take some time to see I think, but for example, the end of last season was a bit different in the rental markets than the one before.

I think the numbers of cards were chosen based on new player expectations going forward and this exact crushing of prices. The entry to play is the lowest it has been in quite a while, but that comes at the cost of people who already own cards. My investments in mean I am actually at a loss at the moment on the assets I hold, but I figure as demand increases on the game in the coming year with LAND taking a lot of the cards off the market too, things shift again.

This is crypto, get used to the feeling of disappointment :)
