[ENG/ESP] Decorated hand towel
Greetings dear Hive and friends of this creative #diyhub community. I'm here once again to show you another one of my crafts. This time, I bring you a hand towel that I embroidered, inspired by one of the Splinterland cards called "Meriput Wizard", which doesn't have much attack, but it has a good speed and a very inspiring image.
For the decoration of this hand towel, I used the fabric patchwork inlay technique.
The materials I used to make this craft are as follows:
- Small towel
- Fabric scraps of different colors (pink, light green, dark green)
- Gray yarn
- Colored threads
- Needle
- Scissors
- Sheet of paper
- Pencil
Saludos queridos Hive y amigos de esta creativa comunidad de #diyhub. Estoy aquí una vez más para mostrarles otra de mis manualidades. En esta ocasión, les traigo una toalla de manos que bordé, inspirada en una de las cartas de Splinterland llamada "Mago Meriput", la cual no tiene mucho ataque, pero posee una buena rapidez y una imagen muy inspiradora.
Para la decoración de esta toallita de manos, utilicé la técnica de incrustación de retazos de tela.
Los materiales que utilicé para elaborar esta manualidad son los siguientes:
- Toalla pequeña
- Retazos de tela de diferentes colores (rosa, verde claro, verde oscuro)
- Estambre gris
- Hilos de colores
- Aguja
- Tijeras
- Hoja de papel
- Lápiz
To begin this craft, the first thing I did was to make a sketch on a sheet of Bond paper, inspired by the design of the letter. First, I did the whole sketch in a light tone, which I then reinforced with a darker tone, trying to make the drawing as similar as possible to the one on the letter.
Para comenzar esta manualidad, lo primero que hice fue realizar un bosquejo en una hoja de papel Bond, inspirándome en el diseño de la carta. Primero hice todo el bosquejo en un tono claro, el cual fui reafirmando con un tono más oscuro, tratando de que el dibujo se asemejara lo más posible al de la carta.
Once finished, I cut out each of the pieces in order to have ready the molds that I will use to transfer to the fabric.
Una vez terminado, recorté cada una de las piezas para así tener listos los moldes que voy a utilizar para transferir a la tela.
Then, I transferred the molds to the fabric and cut them out with the scissors.
Luego, transferí los moldes a la tela y los corté con las tijeras.
I embroidered the face of the Meriput Wizard, starting with the gray worsted, making a few chain stitches. I stitched the ears and stitched all around what will be the head.
Pasé a bordar la cara del Mago Meriput, comenzando con el estambre gris, haciendo unas puntadas de cadeneta. Elabore las orejas y pespunteé todo el contorno de lo que será la cabeza.
I continued embroidering the eyes with the black thread, making the chain stitch, trying to cover them well. Then, I continued making the eye detail with the blue thread until they were finished.
Continué bordando los ojos con el hilo negro, haciendo la puntada de cadeneta tratando de que quedaran bien cubiertos. Después, continué haciendo el detalle del ojo con el hilo azul hasta que quedaron concluidos.
Then I embroidered the mouth with the red thread and with the white thread I placed the tooth.
Luego bordé la boca con el hilo rojo y con el blanco le coloqué el diente.
Then I continued with the accessory she had on her forehead and other details she had on her face.
Después continué con el accesorio que tenía en su frente y demás detalles que tenía en su rostro.
I moved on to placing the little pieces of pink fabric on the ears, giving it all the way around with a scallop stitch.
Pasé a colocar los pedacitos de tela rosa en las orejas, dándole por todo el contorno una puntada de festón.
Then I attached the light green suit, which I stitched all around the edge with the dark green thread to make it stand out with the scallop stitch.
Luego coloqué el traje verde claro, el cual cosí por todo el borde con el hilo verde oscuro para que resaltara con la puntada de festón.
I attached the collar of the dress, which is dark green, with the same stitch.
Coloqué el cuello del vestido, que es verde oscuro, con la misma puntada.
I continued sewing the details that I will later sew on the dress with the green and yellow fabric, which I stitched until they were well placed on the dress.
Continué cosiendo los detalles que posteriormente coseré en el vestido con la tela verde y amarilla, las cuales cosí pespunteando hasta que quedaran bien colocadas en el vestido.
Once the dress was ready, I stitched the arms with the gray worsted.
Una vez listo el vestido, pasé a pespuntear los brazos con el estambre gris.
Now all that was missing was the scepter of the Meriput Magician, which I began to embroider with the gray worsted thread making chain stitches. Then I placed its upper part, which would be green and yellow, which I said and decorated with the blue thread giving chain stitches and scallop stitches, until it was finished.
Ahora solo faltaba el cetro del Mago Meriput, el cual comencé a bordar con el hilo de estambre gris haciendo cadenetas. Después le coloqué su parte superior que sería de color verde y amarillo, la cual dije y adorné con el hilo azul dando puntadas de cadeneta y de festón, hasta que quedó concluido.
Finally, with the gray yarn, I made a border around the whole towel with scalloped stitches, ending in a gauze through which I will hang the small towel.
Por último, con el estambre gris, le hice un borde a toda la toalla con puntadas de festón, terminando en una gasa por donde colgaré la pequeña toalla.

Bordar directamente la tela de paño a veces resulta super complicado, pero el resultado de este trabajo quedó lindo, sobre todo por los apliques para hacerle la ropita.
