[ENG/ESP] Dragon Cub Marker

I hope you had a great week.
I want to share with you a bookmark that I have made, inspired by one of the Splinterland cards, "Dragon Whelp". This card caught my attention because of the dragons, although it is a beta card, it still has its charm, I like dragons because they usually symbolize power, both earthly and spiritual.
One of the abilities of this card is speed and difficulty to be attacked, which I found fascinating. I decided to create this bookmark for David, an adorable little boy with ASD and a lover of dragons. He was my inspiration for finding a dragon and making this craft.
Below, I will show you the materials I used and the step by step of how I crafted this bookmark.
Materials:
- Green, gray, yellow, yellow, red, orange and brown foami.
- Beige yarn
- Liquid silicone
- Paper
- Pencil
- Scissors

quiero compartir con ustedes un marcador que he elaborado, inspirado por una de las cartas de Splinterland, "Dragon Whelp". Esta carta me llamó la atención debido a que los dragones, aunque es una carta beta , no por eso deja de tener su encanto, me gustan los dragones porque suelen simbolizar poder, tanto terrenal como espiritual.
Una de las habilidades de esta carta es la rapidez y la dificultad para ser atacada, lo cual me pareció fascinante. Decidí crear este marcador para David, un niño adorable con TEA y amante de los dragones. Él fue mi inspiración para buscar un dragón y realizar esta manualidad.
A continuación, les mostraré los materiales que utilicé y el paso a paso de cómo elaboré este marcador
Materiales:
- Foami verde, gris, amarillo, rojo, naranja y marrón
- Estambre beige
- Silicón líquido
- Papel
- Lápiz
- Tijeras
To begin, I drew the dragon on a white sheet of paper, trying to make it look as much like the chart I downloaded to my phone as possible.
Para comenzar, dibujé el dragón en una hoja blanca, tratando de que se pareciera lo más posible a la carta que descargué en mi teléfono.
Then I cut out the figure I drew with scissors to serve as a mold.
Luego recorté la figura que dibujé con unas tijeras para que me sirviera de molde.
I transferred each of the pieces to the foami with a pencil.
Transferí cada una de las piezas al foami con un lápiz.
Next, I cut out each of the pieces that I was going to use to make the bookmark.
Después, recorté cada una de las piezas que iba a utilizar para la elaboración del marcador.
I began to assemble it, starting with the wings and placing the gray details first.
Comencé a armarlo, empezando por las alas y colocándose primero los detalles grises.
Once the wings were ready, I glued the yellow claw at the tip of the wing, and then glued them to the orange foami, which is the base of the marker, applying a generous portion of silicone.
Una vez listas las alas, pegué la garra amarilla que tienen en la punta del ala, y luego las pegué al foami naranja, que es la base del marcador, aplicando una porción generosa de silicón.
Next, I assembled the dragon's head, gluing first the eye, then the eyelid detail and the mouth.

I continued to stick the red spikes on the dragon's head.
Continué pegándole los pinchos rojos de la cabeza al dragón.
With the head ready, I proceeded to assemble the body, gluing the green ribbons with silicone to the gray foami.
Con la cabeza lista, procedí a armar el cuerpo, pegando los listones verdes con el silicón al foami gris.
Then I glued the small claws to the arms, which I glued to the body only at the upper end, with the help of silicone, so that the arms would be free at the bottom.
Luego pegué las pequeñas garras a los brazos, las cuales pegué al cuerpo solo en el extremo superior, con ayuda del silicón, para que los brazos quedarán libres en la parte inferior.
Once the dragon was assembled, I cut 6 strips of beige yarn, 20 cm long, which I wove in the form of braids.
Una vez armado el dragón, corté 6 tiras de estambre beige de 20 cm de largo, las cuales tejí en forma de trenzas.
I glued one end to the foami on the body part, without it being visible, being covered with the orange foami. On the other end, I glued two pieces of green foami that will be the feet, and that's it!
Pegué un extremo en el foami por la parte del cuerpo, sin que se viera, quedando cubierto con el foami naranja. En el otro extremo, pegué dos pedacitos de foami verde que serán los pies, ¡y listo!
