[ENG/ESP] Small chest of useful material, decorated.
Greetings, dear friends of #Diyhub ! Today I want to share with you another one of my crafts. This time I crafted a small chest with a box of light bulbs, which I decorated inspired by one of the Splinterland cards called Spirit Hoarder. This card, from what I could tell, traps the souls of others in its staff for more power and is a good healer when working in a team. The color of this creature was what caught my attention the most.
The little chest I made is not to attract souls, haha! It's to trap the bracelets so they won't be scattered all over the place. Below, I will show you the materials I used and the step by step of how I went about making this little chest.
Materials:
- 1 box of light bulbs
- Sheet of paper
- Navy blue, light blue, yellow and gray Foami
- Liquid silicone
- Silicone stick
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Measuring ruler
- Precision compass
¡Saludos, queridos amigos de #Diyhub ! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes otra de mis manualidades. En esta ocasión he elaborado un pequeño cofre con una caja de bombillas, la cual decoré inspirada por una de las cartas de Splinterland llamada Spirit Hoarder. Esta carta, por lo que pude ver, atrapa el alma de otros en su báculo para obtener más poder y es un buen sanador cuando trabaja en equipo. El color de esta criatura fue lo que más me llamó la atención.
El cofresito que elaboré no es para atraer almas, ¡jaja! Es para que queden atrapadas las pulseritas y no estén regadas por ahí. A continuación, les mostraré los materiales que utilicé y el paso a paso de cómo fui elaborando este pequeño cofre.
Materiales:
- 1 caja de bombillas
- Hoja de papel
- Foami azul marino, azul celeste, amarillo y gris
- Silicón líquido
- Silicón de barra
- Lápiz
- Tijeras
- Regla de medidas
- Compás de precisión
To make this craft, the first thing I did was to measure with the ruler 15 cm, mark with the pencil making a line that would surround the entire box of light bulbs.
Para elaborar esta manualidad, lo primero que hice fue medir con la regla 15 cm, marco con el lápiz haciendo una línea que rodearía toda la caja de bombillas.
I cut out with scissors what would be the front of the chest and the sides. I also cut out all the excess.
Recorté con las tijeras lo que sería el frente del cofre y los costados. También recorté todos los sobrantes.
With the compass, on another piece of cardboard, I made half moons with a radius of 2 cm and cut them out leaving a height of 1.5 cm, since I will use these half moons for the sides of what will be the lid of the chest.
Con el compás, en otro pedazo de cartón, hice unas medias lunas con un radio de 2 cm y las recorté dejando una altura de 1,5 cm, ya que estas medias lunas las utilizaré para los lados de lo que será la tapa del cofre.
With liquid silicone, I glued the half moons to finish the lid, leaving the light bulb box box ready.
Con silicón líquido, pegué las medias lunas para terminar la tapa.Dejando listo el cofre de la caja de bombilla
I am going to make the pieces that I will use to line the chest, starting with the yellow foami. With the ruler, I measured a rectangle of 16 cm x 5 cm and another of 8 cm x 10 cm.
Paso a elaborar las piezas con las que forrare el cofre a forrar, comenzando por el foami amarillo. Con la regla, medí un rectángulo de 16 cm x 5 cm y otro de 8 cm x 10 cm.
With the navy blue foami, I marked and cut two pieces measuring 3.5 cm wide x 30 cm long, also a rectangle of 5 cm x 10 cm, these two pieces are to line the outside of the chest.
With the gray foami, I made two pieces for the lid and sides of 5.5 cm x 10 cm and 3 cm x 10 cm, and the half moons of 5 cm long x 1.5 cm high.
Con el foami azul marino, marqué y corté dos piezas con una medida de 3,5 cm de ancho x 30 cm de largo, también un rectángulo de 5 cm x 10 cm, estás dos piezas son para forrar el cofre por fuera.
Con el foami gris, hice dos piezas para la tapa y laterales de 5,5 cm x 10 cm y 3 cm x 10 cm, y las medias lunas de 5 cm de largo x 1,5 cm de alto.
Already having all the elements to form the chest, I am going to draw on a sheet of paper the head of the Spirit Hoarder as close as I can to cut it out and use it as a mold.
Ya teniendo todos los elementos para formar el cofre, voy a dibujar en una hoja la cabeza del Spirit Hoarder lo más parecido que pueda para recortar y utilizar como molde.
After cutting it out, I transfer it to the gray foami and the light blue foami and cut it out.
Después de recortado, lo transfiero al foami gris y al foami azul celeste y recorto.
I also cut some light blue strands to finish decorating the head and the rest are to decorate the lid.
También recorto algunas hebras azul celeste para terminar de decorar la cabeza y las demás son para decorar la tapa.
Now that all the materials are ready, I'm going to cover the inside of the box in yellow with the help of the silicone gun.
Teniendo listos todos los materiales, paso a forrar el cofre por dentro de amarillo con ayuda de la pistola de silicon.
On the outside, I begin to form the box with the navy blue foami, with the help of the silicone gun, and with the gray, I line the lid.
Por fuera, comienzo a formar el cofre con el foami azul marino, ayudada de la pistola de silicón, y con el gris, forro la tapa.
Having already lined the box, I glue the light blue threads to the lid with the liquid silicone, since it is more comfortable for me to manipulate.
Teniendo ya forrado el cofre, le pego las hebras azul celeste a la tapa con el silicón líquido, ya que me es más cómodo para manipular.
Once the chest is finished, with the liquid silicone, I start to assemble the head of the Spirit Hoarder by joining the gray piece with the light blue one. Then, I glue the yellow eyes, finishing decorating it with the light blue thin sticks.
Terminado el cofre, con el silicón líquido, comienzo a armar la cabeza del Spirit Hoarder uniendo la pieza gris con la azul celeste. Después, le pego los ojos amarillos, terminándolo de decorar con las barritas finas azul celeste.
When it was ready, I glued it to the center of the chest with the silicone gun.
Cuando estuvo listo, lo pegué al centro del cofre con la pistola de silicón.
