Do you C2?

There have been a few close calls before, but for the *first time in my Splinterlands "career" (some people live off of this income), I made it into Champions League II!!

I know you are thrilled!

image.png

Okay, this might not be a big deal for many, but I have played a lot of games over the last 8 months and it wasn't until quite recently that I was able to push into Champions at all and then despite getting close to progressing to the next tier, I would get hammered back to just scrape into the bottom again. This means that I start at the bottom of Diamond and if I lose the first round, I am suddenly struggling back in Gold.

image.png

I have a 48% win rate, which isn't very good - but it is better than this seasons, which is sitting at 46% and that is where it will stay, because I am not playing anymore rounds this season. To make it into Champion 2, I had to play a lot of rounds, even though I wasn't playing much initially and moving up as I waited a little longer than normal to start.

Like normal, I was close to moving up and then got knocked back down and last night, I got knocked all the way back to 3700 points. One more loss, and it would have been back to Diamond for me. I almost stopped there, but decided to roll the dice again - fuck it.

image.png

AS usual, I lost a lot of close games, but I also beat some pretty decent players from time to time and pulled a draw against @Bubke - we don't meet often, but when we do, I want to beat him!! I also pulled some other bigger name wins, but lost a lot of rounds where I probably shouldn't have too. I am still improving and picking what people might play for a round, but I am getting better at having the right cards available.

I rent a lot of cards and for the last week and a bit I have been playing, it has been around 2500 DEC a day. But, for anyone who knows the way I play, I am not in it for the direct P2E. I like that people can earn, but I have too many things going on with too many things, that I can't find the time to maximize everything - or anything for that matter.

My new rent strategy is to rent the staples as I start and then, as I get rounds that I need more cards for, I add them in. Before, I was just grabbing them all at the same time.

One Battle

One round I played today that I did get rightish for the most part was this one - but it goes to show how resilient that damn Cube can be under the Llama's control. If I had lost a card, it might have been a disaster for me.

image.png
https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=990f884270181beca6f90889fa67e4d1da041ad5&ref=tarazkp

So yeah, pretty happy with getting into Champions 2 - but I am unsure what happens next week, as I will be travelling for work, so I might not be able to do all of my usual crypto stuff, let alone play. I want to get the benefits of starting from D2 instead of D3, and I also want to see what the new rewards might look like. The new algorithms for rewards are coming into play and that means that there will be more loot chests in the lower leagues, but the higher leagues will have a better chance of rarer cards and gold foils. I wouldn't mind some decent cards, as I kind of feel I missed the boat on the "golden age of reward cards" - but that might be feeling only.

New Social Players

I don't read a lot of Splinterlands posts I think, well, at least I don't actively search for them, but there are some half decent writers out there playing, but they don't seem to know there is a whole Hive ecosystem to explore. @azircon drops some links into a private discord from time to time when he comes across them and these are three he found recently:

@misterrogers

https://hive.blog/introduceyourself/@misterrogers/kiss-me-im-irish-by-deportation-my-hive-introduction

@star-shroud

https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@star-shroud/shield-of-glory-brawls-of-steel

@shadowwolf888

https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@shadowwolf888/newly-on-board-splinterland-and-why-i-invest-heavily-into-this-blockchain-game

What is interesting is that they have come in through Splinterlands, but didn't realize there is more to the blockchain and then were pleasantly surprised when there was. But, what I wonder is, why doesn't the Splinterlands interface introduce the rest of the ecosystem? Yes, I know that it is separate and division can be useful, but what would be valuable is to have an in-game, embedded and curated page for user content. I think that this is a win-win scenario, as it helps build the social side further and gamify social interaction too - after all, this is a P2E game and that can include the social layers.

The beauty of Hive is that there are so many value feedback incentive mechanisms that can be utilized, that there is a path for everyone. For those playing Splinterlands, there is value in being able to engage with the community and that includes actual value that can be used to both support the Hive ecosystem and, perhaps increase investments into Splinterlands too.

The content that can be developed by the Splinterlands community can be diverse and look at all kinds of different aspects of the game, from card selection to gameplay, fan art to the tokenomics of the experience. All kinds of things can be included that are Splinterlands derived and, user built. Under normal circumstances on centralized social media and for games, this content is largely for the benefit of the game developers and investors - but Splinterlands is designed so that everyone is an investor. This means that supportive activity that can encourage usage, better experience and investment in and sink, has value. Plus, it gives a central point for key information, collected from decentralized sources, which can spread messages and encourage hype when it is needed.

A community page would be easy to integrate into the web interface at least and shouldn't be difficult for mobile, but makes an information loop mechanism that keeps people on the site even longer, without playing the game. This can notify in-game and link to the Discord events like the AMA when needed, or showcase events, sales, potions and of course, all of the best Splinterlands posts created and curated. @Splinterlands has a decent amount of stake to curate with and, there is plenty of player stake floating about to throw at decent posts, so why not use that to encourage further and integrate some of it into the interface for all to see?

Make it easy and valuable for Splinterlands people to build their game and social presence on Hive, and they will have even more reasons to keep active - because they will have become part of the community. The more reasons to stay, the more reasons to play.

Right, now this is getting off-track a bit, so I will bring the focus back to where it was meant to be - me getting into Champions 2.

Fuck yeah!

The operators doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved in the same discord groups around @fyrstikken and friends. Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. Shes in some groups with seemingly detached characters that dont even acknowledge the others in the group, looking oddly staged. She starts projects and does nothing with it or the delegations after its used to sway people. Like @steempowertwins does<------fake along with her @teamgood <------fake. No substance in her comments and has a following that adores her for what? Life coach she is not nor is she insightful with any meaningful skills to follow. Ruler of pixie dust maybe? I would like for someone to show me but probably wont out fear maybe? @fyrstikken groups around him down voted me into censored and not viewable on my accounts as soon I told what they were doing.
I cant prove @battleaxe is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing V2K because she cant and could care less. I guarantee she knows this is going around and still wont prove it because she cant. Many of us here can prove what they have been doing to survive the past 5 years. What does she live off of? It definitely isnt in public view here.

I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have been trying to kill me using RNM with applied V2K mental games while revealing as many accessories to the crime as they can. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. Pretty serious accusations to just blow off and leave the crypto community hanging in fear of this danger.

They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome. They should start by looking at the communications between the top witnesses of Hive and the connection to @fyrstikken groups. Google his fucking name and see where his other interests lie around at least once maybe? The connections between @fyrstikken groups and all the exchanges built for Hive? Bet that would reveal some crazy ball less nutty shit. Homeland security should start preparing for their own incarcerations seeing how sloppy this was done. Patriot act my ass. Think we are really fools? Bad position your not getting out of. Dont be last to blow the whistle. Who will protect you?

People in and around @fyrstikkens groups are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 long torturing years and counting. That is a long time to wait for someone to die.

What would you say while having a gun pointed at your head from an undisclosed location? Have people find it? My hands are tied while they play like children with a gun to my head. Its a terrorist act on American soil while some yawn and say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and why nothing is being done. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control that have ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers prevented from telling the truth from being treated as criminals? Not to mention civilians we let our leaders treat the same way. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism-terrorism

First of all, Congratulations! I play this game every day, and I know how hard it is for a manual player to qualify C-2. Its been months, since the readjustment of the leagues and CL that I have not been able to do it. Also you are a relative new comer, and the amount of dedication towards the game you shown is phenomenal.

Thank you for promoting those three guys. They are all new comers as well. They are my guild mates. I try to help them as much as I can.

It is sad to see new comers do not get the promotion they need often, especially when they actually own cards and playing the game at the highest level, and suddenly 'discovered' hive. I think these are the ideal candidates we can have here for the long run.

I almost gave up and settled for C3, after being close and dropped back three times. but, glad I rented for a few hours more and made the push :)

I am still surprised how many people don't realize there is a whole ecosystem the game is attached to. I think if there are many more, it is a huge opportunity to empower the community and with a little dev work, the ToS numbers will increase further, as will the reasons to be on the site. Would be interesting!

And thanks for the links - makes the job far easier :)

I saw your final push. It did 5 small wins. It is good to find a gap in the middle and score. Very well done!

@tarazkp! Thank you for the tag and shoutout! But more importantly, HUGE KUDOS for making it to Champ 2! That's fucking amazing, man! I can't imagine how good it feels hitting that milestone. And to ramp right up to there from 3700. Congratulations!!

One would not get bored on HIVE, at least me. I wish I had much more time to spend on there. HIVE can answer any interest of people such as gaming, cooking, making-up, reading, watching, travelling and so on.

I don't get bored on Hive either - there is always something going on here worth engaging with or, watching unfold.

Congrats and thanks for the shout out! I feel you and have often felt the urge to stop playing once getting to Champion III. Trying to make my way up to Champion II and join you right now! And yes, @azircon has been instrumental is getting some of us P2E card battling nerds to realize there is this whole entire ecosystem on hive beyond the splinterlands metaverse. Looking forward to more actively engaging and contributing 🙂

Welcome to the "other side" - This is where I spend the majority of my time online :)

Azir is getting pretty active out there these days and is supporting all kinds of activities around the place - I don't know where he finds the time!

Good luck getting into C2, but you won't see me out there for the rest of this season :)

Congrats on your success with spinterland. For sometime, I have not ventured outside of Hive/Steemit. A few years back I did, and it seemed those forums went south. Keep up the good success!

I think this is why it would be good to curate some content from Hive platforms and pull them into the game - it is a tailored view of the ecosystem.

Was the taunt on your tank that won it for you, plus the support for the tank, otherwise you wouldn’t have had the firepower to kill the cube.

I have won a similar battle with multiple stuns ( stop him healing as I reduced his health )

I have been using taunt more this season in both Water and Life - Life is hard to get right, and both need to be protected from magic (if there isn't weak magic in play). That cube was tough. Ah, stuns stop the healing?

I own a lot of cards - if I had to rent them all, I think it would be too expensive. Though, I guess most of the other cards I would need are far cheaper than what I have to rent now.

Having a tokenized community to support the tokenized game, is pretty cool.

Well done.
There are many people here coming, via Splinterlands, myself included. I was playing Splinterlands for months until I joined Hive, curious about what Acesontop is writing in there.

By the way, I heard stories about a player making it to C1-2 playing just Chaos Legion cards, but I did not find the name. Do you know about this?
