I start this work by looking for a reference that has a short and curly hair style, then I make the sketch and add the details such as the clothes, then to paint I use a skin tone as a base and I paint with different tones to give richness to the skin, I soften these tones and make them a little more powerful and proceed to add the features of the face such as lips, eyebrows and eyes.

Esta obra la empiezo buscando una referencia que tenga un estilo de cabello corto y rizado luego realizo el boceto y agrego los detalles como la ropa, despues para pintar uso un tono piel como base y voy pintando con diferentes tonos para darle riquesa a la piel, suavizo estos tonos y los hago un poco mas potentes y procedo a agregar los rasgos de la cara como labios cejas y ojos.

In my painting process I always start with the skin and then with the clothes but since this time there were very few clothes to paint I gave a little more work and time to the skin and then I focused on the clothes, then I painted the hair with a base color and then painting messy strands of hair, I added several tones to make it look more realistic and for the background I made a collage with images that give a good background to the portrait and I finished with several layers in multiply and superimpose mode to give contrast and accentuate the colors, in addition to a pointillism filter for the texture that distinguishes my portraits and that is how I made this Dark Astronomer painting.

En mi proceso de pintura siempre empiezo con la piel y despues con la ropa pero como esta vez habia muy poquita ropa que pintar le di un poco mas de trabajo y tiempo a la piel y despues me centre en la ropa, luego pinte el cabello con un color base y despues pintando mechones de cabello desordenados, anadi varios tonos para que parezca mas realista y para el fondo hago un collage con imagenes que le den un buen transfondo al retrato y termino con varias capas en modo multiplicar y superponer para darle contraste y acentuar los colores, ademas de un filtro de puntillismo para la textura que distigue mis retratos y asi fue como realize esta pintura de Dark Astronomer.
